24. Legacies

Were you a fan of The Vampire Diaries? Do you miss it as much as I do? Then we were definitely in luck during the 2018-2018 television season as TVD creator, Julie Plec, brought us a spin-off and satisfied our saddened hearts. The spin-off follows one central character, Hope Mikaelson (Klaus’ daughter) and picks up about two years after the original spinoff series, The Originals.

If you’ve followed TVD and The Originals, then adding this third show to the mix really makes things come around full circle. Fans of the other shows will recognize the character of Alaric (played by Matt Davis) who is often seen throughout the first season of Legacies.

The spin-off spends a lot of time at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted which is a school we’ve come to know a lot about, and one that Hope attends. The school is a means for kids of the supernatural background to learn more about their powers and abilities, you know a normal milestone in the life of a magical teen.

The series did fairly well in its premiere season and was renewed for a second season back in January. And guess what? Yup, you can watch the entire first season on Netflix ahead of its premiere on Thursday, October 10th.

Whether you’ve seen the series or not, this is the opportune time to get yourself caught up before television’s fall season begins. Plus, its only 16 episodes, and in the Netflix binge-watching world, that’s easy-peasy.
