Rocko’s Modern Life movie coming August and official trailer is here

Rocko’s Modern Life movie is finally coming to Netflix this August and the first official trailer of the highly anticipated animated movie is here!

The famous Nickelodeon show Rocko’s Modern Life is getting its very own movie on Netflix and we can’t keep calm! Been in production for years, the film was originally set to air on TV last year but then the project was dropped and Nickelodeon ultimately sold the distribution rights to Netflix.

And, since Netflix is a total savior, Rocko and his friends have found a new home and will be returning to entertain us all Aug. 9. The movie is based on Joe Murray’s iconic TV series and will feature Rocko, Heffer Wolfe and Filburt trying to settle in the 21st century after being in space for more than 20 years.

As for the voice cast, Carlos Alazraqui is voicing Rocko, Tom Kenny as Heffer Wolfe, Mr. Lawrence as Filburt, Charlie Adler as Ed & Bev Bighead, Linda Wallem is Crazy Aunt Gretchen, Joe Murray is Ralph Bighead, Jill Talley is Nosey and Steve Little is voicing Cowboy.

Joe Murray has penned down the screenplay along with Cosmo Serguson, Dan Becker and Tom Smith. He has directed the movie as well so you know, it is going to be one good nostalgic trip back to the 90s! The trailer vouches for it!

That’s right, the first official trailer of the highly anticipated animated movie has been released by Netflix and it looks amazing! We see all our favorite characters “re-entering” earth and screaming “we are home” when it suddenly hits them that it is not the good-old 90s anymore. Yikes!

Rocko and his friends travel around the city trying to adjust in the 21st century, trying to keep up with the latest trends and technology. Netflix’s description of the movie reads:

"After 20 years in space, Rocko struggles to adjust to life in 21st century O-Town and makes it his mission to get his favorite show back on the air."
