During the panel at San Diego Comic-Con, The Walking Dead team debuted the first trailer for the show’s upcoming 10th season.

The Walking Dead revealed its trailer for Season 10 during its SDCC 2019 panel, along with some news about cast exits, a release date, and more. Based on the trailer the show looks to be moving in a different direction with new characters, new locations, and the fan-favorite Whisper War taking center stage.

The trailer also gives us many moments that are sure to keep social media chatting and theorizing about until the shows return on Oct. 6. Moments like Michonne and Ezekiel embracing, Negan out of his cell, a battle on a beach, Daryl and Carol sharing a funny moment, and Michonne with Lucille (Negan’s bat).

Season 10 will also be the final season for Michonne (Dania Gurira) who confirmed during the panel that this would be her last season on the show. Michonne has been a fan favorite since her debut in season 3. It is unclear at this time if Dania will remain on the show for the full 16 episodes or if she will take an early bow as we saw with Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes in season 9.
