Let’s talk about that Grey’s Anatomy season 15 finale, though!

Grey’s Anatomy gave us literal panic attacks in its season 15 finale with O-M-G moments coming at us left and right. Picking up from last week’s cliffhanger, the season 15 finale begins with Meredith telling Alex what the heck has been going on with Jo. Of course, she has nothing else she can do considering they’re stuck in a hyperbaric chamber, and she can’t go rescue DeLuca from being arrested.

Meredith tells Alex that Jo is ready to get the help she needs, and it will require effort from both ends. Poor Alex, will he ever have it easy when it comes to love? Meanwhile, the city of Seattle is in distress as a thick cloud of fog seems to be taking over, causing car accidents and disasters all over the city.

Stuck in the fog are Owen, Levi, and the blood donor, Frances, who desperately needs to get to Grey-Sloan to donate her blood to Gus. It’s quite the hot mess and given that Frances is extremely agoraphobic, it makes the whole thing more complicated. Nonetheless, Frances allows Owen to carry her to a nearby ambulance so they can be escorted to Grey-Sloan before its too late.

Since it is the season finale, why not make things even more difficult for everyone across the board? That sounds like a wonderful idea, don’t you think? Well, this is where things get really interesting. Teddy shows up at Owen’s house to declare her love for him but instead finds Amelia babysitting Leo. In an unexpected turn of events, Teddy confides in Amelia about her feelings for Owen just as her water breaks.

Unfortunately, the fog has backed up traffic everywhere which means Amelia has to get creative. You know, like find the nearest ambulance and get Teddy to the hospital STAT. I don’t know about all of you, but I’m loving this Amelia!

Back at Grey-Sloan, Catherine and Bailey meet with Luis to give him an update on Gabi’s condition. Her cancer is only at Stage 2, and even more importantly, Catherine’s foundation will pay for any and all costs. If only this could have been brought up before Meredith did what she did. Thankfully, Owen and co. make it to Grey-Sloan in time to give Gus the blood they took from Frances. Yay! He survived, guys!

Alright, we need to talk about this Grey’s Anatomy moment that I’m not sure I was crazy about. After arriving at Grey-Sloan, Teddy goes into labor and eventually delivers the baby with Owen by her side. Meanwhile, Koracick is at home happily building the nursery for her.

Ugh, it breaks my heart to think about what will happen when he finds out that not only did Teddy not tell him she had the baby, but that both she and Owen professed their love for one another. I know Koracick doesn’t have the best reputation, but he’s been nothing short of amazing with Teddy!

After finally getting out of the hyperbaric chamber, Meredith goes to work in trying to clear Alex’s name. She attempts to take the blame by telling Catherine and Bailey the truth, but Richard and Alex chime in to say that they were in on it too. So, Bailey fires them. All of them. Yah, I don’t see that holding up for very long.

On the JoLex front, there is finally some progress in the Grey’s Anatomy season 15 finale! After talking to Meredith, Jo finally opens up to Alex and tells him that she needs help, and plans on getting it. Sigh, thank goodness! We believe in you, Jo! I have to admit that I was tearing up when Bailey and Alex dropped her off at the psych ward. That was all the feels.

While some relationships were on the mend in the season finale (looks like Amelia and Link may have a future together!), Maggie and Jackson’s was a bit rocky. They were trying to get back to the hospital but due to the fog, they were struggling to do so. It became very clear that as a couple they don’t actually work. They’re both so different and their differences seem to be more of a problem than not.

Who knows what will come of their relationship–especially considering Jackson goes MIA by the end of the episode. He went to check on the extent of the fog but never came back, and we’re not entirely sure what happened to him. Please be alive, please be alive.

Last but not least, we must talk about the moment between DeLuca and Meredith where she tells him that she loves him too. Awww. But because Meredith plans to come forward with her involvement, it’s tough to say where their relationship will go from here. But we’re going to think good thoughts as we anxiously wait for season 16.
