Z Nation spin-off Black Summer is now on Netflix

There’s a new zombie show on Netflix! The new Z Nation spin-off Black Summer was added to Netflix on Thursday, April 11.

Black Summer premiered on Netflix on Thursday, April 11. The series is a spin-off of the hit zombie series Z Nation, which was canceled after the fifth season. Don’t worry, though; you need not have watched Z Nation on SyFy or Netflix to watch Black Summer and understand what’s going on.

The new series tells the story of Rose, played by Jaime King, who is a mother in search of her daughter in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, according to Netflix. There are eight episodes in the first season of the new series, and it’s unclear if this is a limited series or if there’s a chance for a multiple season order.

If you like this show and other zombie shows, you can watch all five seasons of Z Nation on Netflix right now. The show is similar to The Walking Dead with its themes, but it as a few more winks and comedic moments than the AMC series. Well, it actually has a lot more.
