The Stranger Things 3 Trailer heats up with our first look at the Starcourt Mall.

It looks like there is some dissent growing within the party. Growing up is hard, and there’s bound to be a few cracks in the friendships. Hopefully, they can all stick together.

11. Dustin and Steve

Steve and Dustin’s big brother-little brother relationship is still going strong. At the Starcourt Mall, Dustin and Steve exchange a handshake in front of the ice cream stand where Steve works with Robin, a new character played by Maya Hawke.

12. The Starcourt Mall

In this clip, we see the Starcourt Mall in all its glory. Eleven appears in awe of the retail space.

13. Uproar in Hawkins

It doesn’t seem like everyone in Hawkins likes the mall as much as Eleven. There are protests in downtown Hawkins, and the protestors are holding pro-downtown signs. One sign reads, “Recall the Mall.” We know the mall was pushed through by Mayor Larry Kline, played by Cary Elwes.

14. The Fair

Then, we bounce to the fair, and we see Hopper standing outside one of the rides with a concerned look on his face.

15. An assassin

We see a guy walking through a “fun house” at the fair or carnival with a pistol and silencer. Who is he looking for, and why?

light. More. All the Stranger Things 3 spoilers we know so far

16. Hopper and Joyce

Over the last few clips, Hopper has been making a speech, and it’s revealed that he was talking to Joyce. He says:

“It is important to me that you feel safe. I want you to feel like this can still be your home.”

17. “One Summer Can Change Everything”

We see the season’s tagline appear in the trailer.

18. Eleven

The next few clips are of Eleven. She appears on a beach, and she’s surrounded by the Mind Flayer red thunder/lightning storm that Will saw in the second season. Then, she’s drowning in black water. What is happening to Eleven?!

19. The Bite

There’s an episode from this season called “The Bite,” and it looks like we just saw it. Billy appears to be showering, although it could be someone else, and he has a gnarly bite on his arm. Is it from the monster we see later in the trailer? I’m going to guess that’s probably a rat bite. But, not just any rat, it has to be an Upside Down rat or an alien rat.

And, that’s when the new trailer gets crazy! It’s rapid-fire clips from here on out!

20. Mike and the dudes are back at the school

I think it’s the school, at least. And, the lights are flickering like crazy. Demogorgon alert?

21. Eleven and the gang are sliding down escalators

I’m assuming they used Steve’s connection to get into the mall after hours, but who knows? Eleven does have superpowers, after all.

22. Eleven and the gang burst through some doors

Again, the lights are flickering like crazy. I don’t like this…

23. Lightning show

We’re back at the Starcourt Mall, but there’s like lightning everywhere, and somebody gets torched. It looks like it’s coming out of some machine.

24. Erica, Lucas’s little sister, is on a mission

From what we’ve heard so far, Erica becomes a much bigger character in this new season, and she gets into some trouble with her friends. In the clip, she’s crawling through a vent with a helmet and a flashlight taped to it. Where is she going? What is she doing? Hopefully, she’ll be okay.

25. Eleven and the gang back at the Starcourt

We’ve seen the still from this clip already in the images released by Netflix. It looks like there’s been a fight of some kind. Steve and Jonathan look to be in not-so-great shape, and Eleven is bleeding from her nose.

There’s also glass all over the floor, so something blew up. I’m guessing it all hits the fan when they are messing around at the mall after hours.

26. Fourth of July

It’s our first look at Mayor Kline, and he is wishing Hawkins a “Happy Fourth of July!” from a podium. There are fireworks.

27. RATS

We get a clip of rats scurrying, which is a bad sign that something is coming.

28. Bruce, played by Jake Busey, walking down a hallway looking disheveled

There’s another new guy in Hawkins. Jake Busey plays Bruce, a reporter with The Hawkins Post. We don’t know much about him. Clearly, from this clip, he’s a psychopath.

29. Dustin and Steve

Some of our heroes are looking through a door. What they’re looking at, we don’t know, but it could be Eleven in the next clip.

30. Eleven is sitting in front of an open Eggo fridge at a grocery store

She’s also blind-folded and there is blood dripping from her nose. She’s using her powers, again.

31. Hopper pointing a gun

This looks like the same scene from the fair shown earlier in the trailer. Hopper is likely going after the dude with the silencer on his gun in the fun house.

32. Fair rides spinning

33. A beam of white light slamming into something

Is this the lightning machine we saw earlier? It looks like it could be shooting at the “gate” that Eleven closed at the end of season 2. This clip is a fraction of a second, so I can’t tell for sure, but that’s almost what it looks like.
