On My Block season 2 premieres on March 29 on Netflix

Netflix announced On My Block season 2 will be released on Friday, March 29. Watch the first scene from the second season of the hit Netflix original series.

Last month, we learned On My Block season 2 was coming in March 2019. Netflix shared that information, but for some reason, they didn’t announce the exact release date like they do for most of their shows and movies.

On Thursday, March 7, Netflix officially announced On My Block season 2 will premiere on March 29 and shared the first scene, the cold open, from the new season on social media. We shared that clip below.

We don’t get a lot of answers after the season 1 cliffhanger. We don’t know if Ruby and Olivia are still alive after being shot at the end of the first season. The teaser ends with Ruby lying in what looks like a casket, and then he opens his eyes!

To me, that seems to mean he is still alive. He literally opens his eyes, which should mean that he is still alive, but crazier things have been done on TV! We hope Ruby is still alive. I don’t think this series could continue as successfully without him.

On My Block season 2 premieres the same day as Santa Clarita Diet season 3. There might be some crossover among fans, so you’ll have to pick which one you want to watch first!
