Based on the series of books by Sherryl Woods, Sweet Magnolias takes place in the small South Carolina town of Serenity and centers on lifelong best friends Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) and Helen (Heather Headley). Battling issues such as divorce, parenting and career struggles, the trio known as the Sweet Magnolias join forces to open a women’s spa and begin the next chapter of their lives together.

Sweet Magnolias quickly became a fan-favorite hit with its May 2020 premiere, topping Netflix’s top 10 most-viewed shows list in its premiere weekend. While nothing we haven’t seen before, and that’s no slight to the series, there’s something about Sweet Magnolias that pulls you in and makes you feel warm.
