Creator Mike Flanagan confirmed the news on Twitter in response to a Deadline report on the second season renewal news and theme reveal.

For those unaware, Bly Manor is the setting of the novel The Turn of The Screw by Henry James, which was published in 1898. I haven’t read the novel, but I know it’s one of the classic horror novels, and it should be the perfect setting for the second season of Netflix’s Haunting anthology series.

It will be really interesting to see Flanagan’s spin on the story and how they turn and twist it like they did with The Haunting of Hill House. Netflix also announced an exclusive deal with Flanagan and Trevor Macy.

This is a huge deal, and I hope fans, and even those who haven’t seen The Haunting of Hill House, recognize how cool this is for horror fans. Flanagan clearly has a ton of ideas for the direction of the franchise, and it’s going to a great for everyone involved. I hope I’m not hyping this too much, but it’s only going to get bigger and better from here.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is expected in 2020, according to the teaser. We’ll let you know more when we find out.
