The Last Kingdom season 3 finale wrapped up some storylines but left us questions for others. Here are the 10 questions we now have for The Last Kingdom season 4.

The Last Kingdom season 3 certainly wrapped in a way that would allow the TV show to end just in case. However, it also kept a few storylines open for a potential fourth season. With a fourth season currently in production, it’s time to delve into those open storylines.

Fans left Uhtred in a new Wessex. King Alfred was dead and his son, Edward, had taken over the throne. Now as a free man, Uhtred chose to keep his promise to the dying king, offering his services to Edward temporarily.

At the same time, Uhtred had one goal in mind: to make sure his brother went to Valhalla. And that’s exactly what he managed to do, killing Aethelwold through the method Storey told him. Whether Ragnar has gone to Valhalla or not is up to what you believe, but both Uhtred and Brida believe that to be the case.

Now it’s time to focus on the next leg of the journey. Likely focused on books seven and eight from The Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell (each season has covered two books up to this point), the show has plenty of material to delve into. However, there are storylines set up in the third season that fans are going to need answers to.

With all that in mind, I’m going to break down the top 10 questions we have for The Last Kingdom season 4. Hopefully, this is the season we’ll get some answers we’ve had — some from the very beginning!
