Netflix’s Breaking Bad movie is a sequel and will star Aaron Paul

Aaron Paul will star in Netflix’s Breaking Bad movie. The film is a sequel about Jesse Pinkman’s life following the events of the Breaking Bad finale.

The new Breaking Bad movie is going to be a sequel about Jesse Pinkman’s character, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Deadline broke the news this morning that the new Breaking Bad movie will be a Netflix original. THR confirmed the film will follow Jesse Pinkman’s story after the final season of the series, and Aaron Paul will star in the film.

As Deadline mentioned, the Breaking Bad sequel will be released on Netflix, and then it will move to air on AMC after it is released on Netflix. It’s an interesting release model, and I don’t think we’ve seen Netflix do anything like this before. If it works out, it could pave the way for more spin-offs and sequels to be released on the streaming service before airing on other networks.

We still don’t know that much about the project and who else will be involved. The film started production in late 2018, and it’s unclear if the film is continuing to film now or if it has already been completed.

Obviously, this is a great move at Netflix for a few reasons. Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are two of the best and most popular shows on the streaming service. As we have seen with Better Call Saul, there is so much of this world that has yet to be explored. It’s been great to see Jimmy/Saul’s journey, and it will be even better, for some, to see what Jesse Pinkman has been up to since the events of the series finale.
