The most recent episode of Manifest gave a face to two characters we’d either only heard about of, or seen from a closed perspective. Find out more about them in our recap below.

Warning! Spoilers for the current episodes of Manifest follow. You’ve been warned.

When the twelveth episode of NBC’s Manifest kicks off, the Stone family is in a panic searching for Cal (Jack Messina). Ben Stone (Josh Dallas) and Grace Stone (Athena Karkanis) find a trail of clues in Cal’s drawing pad, following it to him. But at the same time, the Major (Elizabeth Marvel) has her vultures circle them.

Up until “Vanishing Point”, the Major had stuck to the shadows. She’d only been mentioned by name and none of the Flight 828 passengers have met with her—except Autumn Cox (Shirley Rumierk).

After some interrogating, Autumn revealed to Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) that she’d spoken with the Major about her daughter. She didn’t clarify as to whether or not they met but if they have, Autumn could identify the Major. Of course, Autumn is more preoccupied with finding her daughter than exposing some malign plan.

Putting Autumn aside for the moment, the Major made it clear that she’s here to stay. The final moments of episode twelve showed her purchasing a home in New York—one with a view of the entire city—this won’t end well for the Flight 828 passengers.

In addition to giving a face to the mysterious Major, fans were also introduced to Zeke Landon (Matt Long), the estranged man who’d been calling out to Michaela and Cal with visions of a blizzard. They’d receive callings before but not from someone who wasn’t a passenger aboard Flight 828. Now that they have, the circumstances have changed.

When Zeke introduces himself, he tells the Stone family that he’d been caught in a blizzard a few weeks ago. He then rambles on about persevering through the storm, clinging to a magazine with Michaela’s face on it. But when Zeke pulls out the page from his pocket, the date reads December 2017.

To most fans watching Manifest, Zeke’s story probably sounds like another ruse concocted by the Major. She planted Autumn in Ben’s close-knit group of allies and Zeke could be one too. We’ll find out whether or not he’s telling the truth in next week’s episode, though our guess is he’s being honest about what transpired.

The Major’s organization made no mention of Zeke throughout the entire episode, which means he’s probably on his own. The callings sent to Michaela and Cal also back up those claims seeing as how the Major has no control over the Flight 828 passengers. Had she, they would’ve picked Zeke up before Cal had the opportunity to find him. Fortunately, Cal and Zeke are safe for the time being.
