14. House of Cards

Another one of Netflix’s shows, House of Cards is perfect for sucking you into a world to stop thinking about the pressures of yours. Follow Kevin Spacey’s character, Frank Underwood, as he uses his connections and wits to outsmart almost everyone in Washington to get what he wants.

Even if you’ve watched this before, it’s always worth a re-watch. I find that every time I watch the show, I see a new connection I didn’t make before. Also, with the recent news of Robin Wright taking over the lead role, we all should binge this to focus more on Claire. Who knows what the show will do with her in the lead?

This is perfect for late night watching because let’s face it, it’s probably the only time your phone isn’t blowing up with the news. Watch as Frank Underwood makes his way to the President of the United States without a single vote cast. This originally charming Congressman begins to show his true colors the longer he stays in power, and it’s almost fun to watch everything crash around him.

House of Cards will end after season 6, and Spacey will be written off the series following sexual harassment and assault allegations against him.
