1. Mad Max: Fury Road helped inspire Millie Bobby Brown to shave her hair

We’re going to start off with some easy stuff.

When Stranger things dropped, it became a huge hit. But it also made Millie Bobby Brown a star overnight for her portrayal of Eleven. Obviously, her buzzcut and outfit lent a lot to the character. So much so, that many, many people dressed as the character for Halloween only a few months later.

But before getting in the frilly pink dress and sporting a blond wing, Millie Bobby Brown really had to shave her hair before filming. Now, keep in mind that she’s a young actress. In addition, Stranger Things was her biggest role to date. So it comes as no surprise that she hesitated to shave all her hair.

To help convince her, the Duffer Brothers showed her a picture of Charlize Theron as Furiosa, who sports the same look for Mad Max: Fury Road. If you’ve seen the film, Furiosa is a standout character. She’s so awesome, you basically forget that underneath all that dirt is one of the most beautiful women on the planet. Which, in my opinion, is the best argument you could provide for an actress — that shaving their head will help their art.
