Netflix Tests New Design For Home Page

Notice anything new about Netflix on your computer?

You should, if you were one of the few selected to test the new home page by Netflix!

According to the report from The Verge, Netflix is experimenting with a redesign of the “web user interface,” or “home page” for the layman, like me.

Luckily, I was also one of those chosen to check it out, and the new home page rocks. If I had to compare, I’d say the new layout is like Marvel’s Daredevil, the Netflix Original series, and the old layout is like the 2003 Daredevil starring Ben Affleck. It’s that much of a difference, and it’s so much better!

Netflix finally pushed out the redesign after complaints and complaints and complaints and complaints about the home page, which often felt like you were riding a Gravitron while trying to pick out a movie or TV show.

The new home page looks very similar, although the white background has been changed to black. However, when you get to the end of the row, instead of cycling through automatically, you actually have click to bring the next set of movies or TV shows into view.

Obviously, those aren’t the technical terms for what’s actually happening, but I think you get the gist of it!

Hopefully, Netflix switches the home page for all users sooner rather than later! It really is THAT MUCH better, I promise!
