Zac Efron is back, and he’s taking Netflix by storm! However, it’s not with a brand-new release. Years after its theatrical debut, his wild comedy flick has just recently been added to Netflix. It's only been a few days since it dropped, and it's already skyrocketed up the top 10 TV shows list on the platform.
In fact, it's currently sitting at the No. 3 spot. Will it get bumped down or removed from the list soon? Only time will tell, but one thing is clear. Audiences are obsessed! If you're in need of a good laugh or something to uplift your mood, this film really delivers!
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is now streaming on Netflix
Netflix added Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates to its platform on Feb. 1, and people immediately gravitated to it. Honestly, it's easy to see why. The movie is pure chaos from start to finish. Directed by Jake Szymanski from a screenplay co-written by Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates throws viewers into a whirlwind of outrageous antics, wild party disasters, and laugh-out-loud moments that never let up!
So, what's the film about? It's about two brothers, Mike and Dave Stangle, whose legendary partying has driven their family to the brink. When their sister Jeanie’s Hawaiian wedding approaches, their parents insist they bring respectable dates. However, the problem is that Mike and Dave have zero interest in being well-behaved.
In true chaotic fashion, they post a wild online ad looking for the “perfect” dates, and that’s when the real madness begins. They quickly attract a pair of ambitious, fun-loving women who are just as unpredictable as the brothers themselves, and this leads to a seriously unforgettable wedding weekend.
Efron takes on the role of the charming yet reckless Dave, while Adam Devine plays his equally wild older brother, Mike, whose antics push every situation to the edge of absurdity. The brothers’ “perfect” dates are played by Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza. Also in the cast are Stephen Root, Stephanie Faracy, Sugar Lyn Beard, Sam Richardson, Alice Wetterlund, Mary Holland, Kumail Nanjiani, Jake Johnson, Wendy Williams, and others.
Unfortunately, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is a movie that Netflix has acquired under a licensing agreement. This means it won’t be on the platform forever. Given that it was just added on Feb. 1, it probably won’t be removed anytime soon. However, this doesn't mean that you should hold off from watching it. A departure date hasn't been set, but we would hate for you to miss out on it because you waited until the last minute to watch. That would be a huge bummer!
After watching Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, we also recommend checking out some other movies on Netflix starring Efron. Some examples are A Family Affair, The Iron Claw, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, and The Paperboy. However, all of them are pretty serious films except A Family Affair.
You can stream Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates on Netflix right now!
