XO, Kitty season 3’s shocking pregnancy storyline explained

Today's the big day! XO, Kitty season 3 is now available for fans to watch and enjoy on Netflix, and there's a lot that goes down in this new installment. After an interesting summer break, Kitty's ready to take on her senior year at KISS. She has a bunch of things she wants to accomplish before she graduates, and she's determined to make the most of her final year.

But we all know how things are never smooth sailing for Kitty, and this season is no different. There's a whole pregnancy storyline explored in the third installment, and we're here to break everything down. So if you haven't watched XO, Kitty season 3 yet, you might want to click off this article because we're about to enter spoiler territory.

Who's pregnant in XO, Kitty season 3?

First things first: Kitty is not the one who ends up pregnant in XO, Kitty season 3. That would have been a huge shock. The pregnancy storyline initially seems to focus on one of Kitty’s friends, but the real twist? It’s actually her cousin, Jiwon, who’s expecting. Now, we're about to break it down.

Kitty and Min Ho finally get together in XO, Kitty season 3, but their relationship has plenty of ups and downs. At one point, Kitty feels insecure when Min Ho’s first love comes back into his life. However, they manage to work through it. The real complication arises when Eunice confides in Min Ho that she might be pregnant. Min Ho was supposed to go on a date with Kitty, but lied, claiming he needed to see Marius, when in reality he was meeting Eunice. Kitty eventually discovers his lie, but gets over it.

However, Min Ho still doesn’t tell her about Eunice being potentially pregnant. Things come to a head at Dae’s dad’s big restaurant opening. Kitty finds a pregnancy test in the restroom. At first, it doesn’t worry her. That's until Yuri tells her that she saw Min Ho and Eunice having a strange conversation outside. Kitty then assumes it's connected. Feeling confused and betrayed, she confronts Min Ho about the pregnancy test. Min Ho tries to tell her he didn't hook up with Eunice over the summer, but Kitty doesn't give him a chance and storms off.

Later that night, Kitty informs Dae about Min Ho and Eunice hooking up over the summer in Paris. She did this because she knows Dae still loves Eunice. However, Dae tells her that there's no way Eunice and Min Ho could've hooked up in Paris because she was with him the whole time. At this point, Kitty feels bad for jumping to conclusions. Meanwhile, Dae needs to go talk to Eunice to get answers. When he does finally speak with her, she tells him that she's not actually pregnant. She came home later that night and discovered that she had gotten her period.

We don't find out until later that it was Jiwon who took the pregnancy test. While Kitty and Lara Jean have lunch with Jiwon at Dae's dad's restaurant, it all comes out. Jiwon shares with them that the baby's father is Alex. They had met at summer orientation and eventually hit it off. However, they were forced to break things off because teachers at KISS aren't allowed to date. While she hadn't told Alex that they were expecting, Jiwon made sure to do so after her conversation with Kitty and Lara Jean.

Alex then tells his father before he, Jiwon, and Kitty tell Jiwon's grandmother together. Jiwon's grandmother isn't initially accepting of the news, but Kitty manages to help her see that Jiwon and Alex love each other. So, there you have it! While it seemed like Eunice might've been pregnant at first, it turned out to be Jiwon. The writers definitely did a good job of keeping viewers on their toes.
