The time has come for us to get an even closer look at Squid Game season 2, and boy is it good! Definitely worth the wait if you ask me. Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for the second season, and it gave me chills you guys. I really need to mentally prepare for this, but I can't wait!

The Squid Game season 2 teaser trailer will give you chills

The main takeaway from the video is the fact that in a bit of a surprising turn of events, no one, or at least not many, are listening to Seong Gi-hun. Aka Player 456. Despite him trying to warn the other contestants about the very real dangers of the game, I think they just really have their eyes on the prize. Check out the Squid Game season 2 teaser trailer below!

What the first season did so well is establishing just how far these people will go for the chance to win money. Many of them really don't have much else to lost. Except for their lives of course. But unfortunately they're those in society who don't have much money, have made mistakes, or are dealing with huge issues in their lives. They're the perfect targets, and that's how the game has been able to run for so long.

I'm really interested in also seeing more of the Front Man in season 2 of the Netflix hit, especially now that we know his identity. I'm also curious about his brother, Hwang Jun-ho, who is the police detective searching for him all these years. But it turns out his brother is just fine and dandy, playing with people's lives in this horrible way. Thankfully he's alive, despite the Front Man shooting him.

The second season takes place three years after the events of Squid Game season 1, per the synopsis. Does this mean perhaps that Hwang Jun-ho has had to disappear to come up with a plan to take it all down? Perhaps he and Player 456 may cross paths and end up working together? Or does he have another agenda? Does his brother even know that he's still alive? There's so many questions!

There's a lot to explore, and I'm really looking forward to going on this journey. Even though it really does need someone with a strong heart to watch. I'm so prepared to connect with certain characters, and them die. That's exactly what happened the first time around. Who else is so ready for Squid Game season 2?

Squid Game season 2 premieres Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024 on Netflix.
