This post contains spoilers from Stranger Things 5 volume 2 from this point forward.
We're getting closer and closer to finding out how Stranger Things comes to an end, which isn't a day we're emotionally prepared for. There are so many different ways the story could reach its conclusion, but one character believes that everything will end up coming full circle.
Lucas introduced his theory that November 6 could be the day that Vecna will put his final plan into motion early on in Stranger Things 5. During the group's scrambling to figure out how to get at least one step ahead of the ominous villain in volume 2, Lucas' theory comes back into the forefront, with Mike fully on board that the date will be a fateful one for Hawkins and the group.
In case you have forgotten what the significance of November 6 is since Lucas explained his theory in season 5 episode 2, or you need a bit of freshening up on that particular date in Stranger Things lore, let's rewind a bit and flesh out the date, the theory, and the chances of it coming true.

What does November 6 mean in Stranger Things?
Back in the first season, Will disappeared into the Upside Down on November 6, 1983. Since then, that date has been known as Stranger Things Day among fans and receives a celebration from Netflix. However, for the story itself, it's a notorious date that's coming back around again as our Hawkins heroes approach their final battle with Vecna to save their lives and town.
Stranger Things 5 begins on November 3, 1987, just days away from the date that hangs over everybody's head. It's been four years since Will disappeared, and while it seems insignificant that Vecna would ring in the fourth anniversary of enacting his plan with its conclusion, there's no doubt that no matter how long it's been, coming full circle makes a lot of sense.
In Lucas' theory, he says that he doesn't believe in coincidences. The fact that the beginning of what appears to be Vecna's endgame began three days before the day Will was originally taken has to mean something. He believes that Vecna's wrath will end the way it began, with Will on November 6. It's no surprise when volume 2 brings us to November 6.
But that date might even hold more weight than simply being the day that Will was taken by Vecna. A flashback sequence takes Max back into Henry's memories on November 6, 1959, in which he was taking part in a school play. Something must have happened to Henry on that date for it to continue to keep coming back around again.
Based on the fact that volume 2 leaves us on November 6, it's rather obvious that Lucas' theory appears to have come true. The series will come full circle and fully explain the significance of November 6 beyond the coincidence of Henry's play and Will's disappearance. It's going to be a long day for team as they head into the Upside Down to travel up to the Abyss.
