It’s always a good day when Netflix adds new licensed content to its platform. There’s this little spark of excitement that hits the moment you see a familiar title pop up. This is something you’ve heard about forever, something you swore you’d watch “one day,” or maybe even a show you loved years ago and thought you’d never see again. Suddenly, your watchlist grows, and that comforting feeling sets in that you’ll never run out of something good to watch.
But then comes the part that always stings. Because as great as licensed content is, it never really belongs to Netflix, and deep down, you know that clock is already ticking. There’s nothing quite as frustrating as finally noticing a series you’re genuinely excited about, only to see that dreaded “leaving soon” tag attached to it.
Unfortunately for horror fans, they're about to experience this exact heartbreak soon. A criminally underrated horror series is about to depart Netflix in just a couple of weeks, and it's a show that deserved way more attention than it ever received.
Evil is set to leave Netflix this December 2025

Netflix is currently streaming the first three seasons of Evil, and sadly, all three will be leaving the platform this December. The exact departure date is Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025. Yes, that's New Year's Eve, meaning horror fans will need to binge all the chilling, mind-bending episodes before the year ends. The last day to watch all 36 episodes on Netflix is Dec. 30, so you might want to plan a serious binge session ASAP.
With Evil seasons 1 through 3 departing Netflix, this means that the fourth and final season won't be coming at all. Netflix subscribers had hoped that Evil season 4 would eventually be added to the platform, but those hopes are now dashed. That said, the only way you can stream Evil season 4 is on Paramount+.
The first three seasons of the horror series are also currently available to stream on Paramount+, so that's where you'll be able to watch them once they're no longer on Netflix. The only other option to watch this show is by buying individual episodes or complete seasons on digital platforms.
Evil is a supernatural horror series created by Robert King and Michelle King. It stars Katja Herbers as Dr. Kristen Bouchard, a skeptical forensic psychologist, Mike Colter as David Acosta, a priest-in-training, and Aasif Mandvi as Ben Shakir, a practical and tech-savvy consultant. Tasked by the Catholic Church, this unlikely trio investigates bizarre and often chilling cases that sit at the crossroads of science and the supernatural.
The cast also includes Kurt Fuller, Marti Matulis, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco, Dalya Knapp, Christine Lahti, Michael Emerson, Ashley Edner, Andrea Martin, and others.
Don't forget to start your binge session soon, as there's not much time left to watch Evil seasons 1 through 3 on Netflix!
