It's a great time to work your way through your Netflix watch list because the streaming service will be adding a number of amazing new titles in the coming weeks. On top of the exciting new original series, like Beef season 2 and the Duffer Brothers' new production The Boroughs, Netflix will also be adding exciting hits like NBC's underrated sci-fi series La Brea and the Veronica Mars movie.

But there's also something extra special to look forward to for anime fans. If you were bummed out that Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 just ended its run and you now have to wait for season 4, there's a way to dive back into the magic of the series much sooner. Thankfully, another season of the beloved anime series will be added to Netflix in May 2026 after a long, long wait.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 coming to Netflix in May 2026

Netflix has confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will be released on Netflix in the United States on Friday, May 1, 2026. In addition to becoming available on Netflix in the United States for the first time, the second season will also be added to the streaming service in Australia, Canada, Latin America, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Other countries and territories could receive season 2, too.

Jujutsu Kaisen has been available to stream on Crunchyroll for fans outside of Asia, though the first season was eventually added to Netflix in the United States back in May 2024. For those who have already watched those 24 episodes, there's been an unbelievably long two-year wait for the second season to arrive, but it's finally time to dive into those 23 episodes. (The first two seasons are also available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the United States.)

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 aired in two parts, beginning with a five-episode section based on the manga's "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arcs and acts as a prequel to the previous season. Next, up the second part of season 2 picks back up in present day with the remaining 18 episodes that adapt the "Shibuya Incident" arc from the source material.

The 12-episode third season premiered in January 2026 and finished airing in March, but there's going to be a fair amount of waiting to do until the season touches down on Netflix in the United States. While we can keep our fingers crossed and hope that the next batch of episodes begins streaming much sooner, the two-year gap between Netflix releases could be a precedent.

Obviously, that would mean that we should expect Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 to make its premiere on Netflix in the United States in May 2028. That's a long time from now, especially since the fourth season has already been confirmed to be in the works. The third season was titled The Culling Game: Part 1, and the fourth season will be titled The Culling Game: Part 2.

It's too early to suppose when season 4 could be premiere, but at least fans can look forward to binge-watching seasons 1 and 2 back-to-back on Netflix US. Stay tuned for more release news and updates about Jujutsu Kaisen from Netflix Life!
