Netflix has cemented itself as a dominant force in the world of streaming, offering a seemingly endless array of content that caters to nearly every interest and preference. One of the streaming giant's strongest appeals lies in its expansive library of original productions.
But Netflix isn’t just a home for originals. It also serves as a hub for licensed content, offering viewers access to beloved classics, critically acclaimed films, and popular TV series from across the decades. Yet, there’s a bittersweet side to this abundance. Licensed titles aren’t permanent. Favorites can disappear from the platform, leaving fans scrambling to catch them before they’re gone.
In fact, Netflix has recently put up removal notices for several licensed shows. One of them is a hit sci-fi series that had everyone tuning in when it was airing on The CW many years ago. That show is The 100.
The 100 is scheduled to leave Netflix in December 2025

We knew the day would eventually come when The 100 would no longer be available to stream on Netflix, but it's a bummer that it's happening in just a month. There won't be specific seasons departing the platform either. The entire seven-season series will be removed this December. Netflix has set a departure date for Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025. This means the last day to stream this show to your heart's content is Dec. 17.
A month might seem far away from now, but time has been flying by. It'll be Dec. 18 before you know it, and we would hate for you to miss your chance to binge the entire series before it’s gone. So if you've been holding off on watching this show, here's your notice not to wait any longer. Who knows if it'll ever be re-added to Netflix?
Jason Rothenberg created The 100. Based on the book series by Kass Morgan, the show expands on the novels’ post-apocalyptic world, exploring survival, morality, and the struggles of a group of teens sent back to a devastated Earth.
Taking place 97 years after a nuclear apocalypse rendered Earth mostly uninhabitable, the story follows the last known human survivors living aboard a massive space station called the Ark. With resources running low and tensions rising, the Ark’s leaders send 100 juvenile detainees back to Earth on a high-stakes mission to see if the planet can sustain life once again. But what they end up discovering is that Earth is far from empty. Dangerous landscapes, mutated creatures, and hostile human factions await them.
Talented actors such as Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Thomas McDonell, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Eli Goree, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Isaiah Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, and Ricky Whittle make up the cast.
Other licensed shows scheduled to depart Netflix this December are How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, and Arrow. So if any of these are on your watchlist as well, now’s the time to start streaming before they're removed!
