The Night Agent season 4 gets an exciting update from one of its stars

The Night Agent season 4 is officially nearing the end of production.

Annabeth Gish, who has joined the cast and will star in the fourth and final season of the Netflix original political thriller, revealed that she has finished filming in a new video posted to her TikTok.

"I just wrapped work on the fourth and final season of The Night Agent here in L.A," Gish said in the video. "We shot in L.A., which i have said before, what a gift to be able to shoot in L.A. when so much production is not here. What a gift of a job this job has been."

In The Night Agent season 4, Gabriel Basso returns to the series as Peter Sutherland, along with Luciane Buchanan and Fola Evans-Akingbola. Gish plays Holland, a new character in the season, along with new cast members Titus Welliver, Li Jun Li, Elizabeth Lail, Trevante Rhodes, David Denman, and Abigail Breslin.

That's quite the impressive cast for the fourth and final season! Gish also shared a little teaser for fans and hyped up the season in the video.

"Boy, did we have fun, and I think it's going to be a real enjoyable watch, too, when it comes out on Netflix," Gish continued. "But, until then, I just wanted to bookend my — I think I shot a little video in my car on my first day of work for season 4, and now, here's another one on my last day of work. And it was fantastic."

The Night Agent season 4 is coming in 2027

Production on The Night Agent season 4 started in Los Angeles in the spring of 2026, a couple of months after the third season aired on Netflix. This is the first time the series was filmed in Los Angeles. For the first three seasons, the location has changed every season. The first season was set in Washington, D.C., but it was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia. Then, production moved to New York City and the East Coast, primarily, for season 2 and season 3.

Of course, we can't say if the full cast and crew have wrapped production on season 4. Reports from What's on Netflix and other outlets have hinted production was expected to last through September, so it's possible that Gish has wrapped while some of the other characters are finishing up in the next few days or weeks.

Gish's update is excellent news for fans of The Night Agent season 4. We know the new season is not coming to Netflix this year, but there's no doubt that this show is going to be one of the new Netflix shows arriving in early 2027.

The Night Agent season 4 should be a Q1 2027 release. Of course, Netflix isn't going to announce the release date yet, but we've seen the last two seasons arrive in January and February in consecutive years. I would expect that we'll see the fourth season in January or February 2027, as well.
