That Christmas, based on the trilogy of beloved children's books, is all about breaking the norms and finding more fun ways to make your Christmas holidays better and more memorable regardless of any shortcomings. The picture-perfect scenario of a Christmas Eve created by the movies is usually not true.

It is a popular belief that Christmas celebrations are incomplete without an extravagant dinner accompanied by the merry-making of loved ones. But in reality, it is hardly possible to recreate a movie-like scenario for any of your holiday plans because life usually throws lemons right when you hardly need one.

This heart-touching movie, That Christmas, is all about trying our best to make the most of what we can do in the face of adversity. Nobody ever wants to dampen the spirits of their Christmas holidays by undergoing unforeseen situations that are usually beyond their control. But if you incur one, which is usually the case, then whatever life tosses at you, you should be able to make the most of it with high spirits.

That Christmas is just good family fun

That Christmas shows, how the people of a very small village, Wellington on the Sea, amongst a crazy unexpected blizzard, trapped parents, missing children, Santa making mistakes, and above all ruined Christmas dinners due to runaway turkeys, manage to make their Christmas celebrations happen even though it was not even close to their traditional ways.

It seems like this movie, has almost recreated what a true Christmas really looks like. Christmas is not about doing everything perfectly, but it is about managing every problem just enough to make sure that the spirit of Christmas is preserved.

This movie reinforces the idea that Christmas is about giving, whether it is about giving each other gifts or giving each other understanding that one may value even more than physical gifts at times. Just the way Sammy did for his mother who couldn’t skip work and kept her son waiting on the eve of Christmas. Sammy tried to make things special for his mother, and her return was a truly emotional moment.

In short, That Christmas, has a lot to offer as it feels like a true depiction of real-life situations. It is a must-watch for good family time, as the plot has the power to keep you hooked, and every scene feels like a heartfelt reality of our day-to-day lives.
