Even though Stranger Things came to an end with its super-sized and much talked about series finale last year, we still can't stop talking and thinking about the iconic Netflix original series. When we're not still mulling over what we think happened to Eleven in the end, we're keeping track of the cast's next moves on screens both big and small. Luckily, one of the stars is returning to Netflix soon.

Stranger Things season 4 introduced the world to Joseph Quinn, the British actor who played the lovable misfit Eddie Munson. Both Quinn and Eddie stole our hearts right away, and Quinn's career skyrocketed as he starred in hit movies like Gladiator II, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and the upcoming Beatles biopic film series. He also starred in a fan-favorite horror movie.

A Quiet Place: Day One coming to Netflix in July 2026

That horror film would happen to be A Quiet Place: Day One, which is charting its own quiet comeback on Netflix. The movie begins streaming on the platform in the United States on Monday, July 27, 2026, just over two years since the movie was first released in theaters. After Quinn's breakthrough in Stranger Things in 2022, the movie was his big-screen big break.

Released in theaters in June 2024, A Quiet Place: Day One travels back in time to the beginning of the invasion in New York City. As fans of the franchise know, the movies take place in a world where alien creatures with a heightened sense of hearing pose a deadly threat to humanity. Day One follows a terminally ill as the invasion rapidly takes over New York City.

A Quiet Place: Day One was written and directed by Michael Sarnoski as a prequel spinoff to the A Quiet Place films by John Krasinski, who also contributed to the offshoot's story. Quinn stars as Eric in the movie, alongside Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, who leads the film as Samira. While not as successful as the first two movies, the prequel was still a hit.

Compared to its $67 million budget, A Quiet Place: Day One was a modest box office win, bringing in over $261 million worldwide. All told, the current three films in the franchise have nearly made a combined $1 billion at the global box office, paving the way for next year's A Quiet Place Part III to hopefully very easily push the franchise past its billion-dollar milestone.

If you're a Stranger Things fan wondering if the horror movie should make it to your Netflix watch list, it's definitely worth the watch for Joseph Quinn. The movie was certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with its 86% score. Nyong'o and Quinn's performances were especially praised as the centerpiece of what makes the prequel special and a must-watch viewing experience.

Recently, Netflix has been hitting big with new releases from the Stranger Things cast and crew. The Duffer Brothers produced the two well-received originals Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen and The Boroughs, and Millie Bobby Brown headlined the new movie Enola Holmes 3. Quinn's the next Hawkins alum to step up to the plate and make an appearance in Netflix's Top 10.
