Unfortunately, as much as we would love for all of our favorite shows to be available on Netflix or other streaming platforms forever, the fluid nature of the business means some shows might streamer hop from time to time. If you didn't get a chance to binge-watch Community during its four years on Netflix, your time at Greendale Community College will soon come to an end.

According to a report, all six seasons of Community will be removed from Netflix on Monday, April 1, 2024, which marks exactly four years since the series was acquired by the streamer in April 2020. When the series was first added to Netflix during the start of the pandemic, it was met with a decent resurgence in popularity that's ultimately led to the long-awaiting movie being in the works.

So far, it's one of the biggest removals on Netflix of 2024, especially as the streamer continues to build up its collection of acquired fan-favorite shows such as This Is Us, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Young Sheldon, Resident Alien, The Jamie Foxx Show, and many, many more. Of course, Netflix could always strike a new deal to keep Community around, but for now, the college comedy seems to be graduating.

Best Community episodes to watch before it leaves Netflix

During its original run on NBC beginning back in 2009, Community and its fans had to fight tooth and nail to keep the series on the air. Plagued by behind the scenes issues between the cast and the creator as well as low ratings, the small but mighty series wound up running for six seasons, with the final landing on Yahoo! Screen and bringing the show to its official end in 2015.

Now that it's a certified cult classic comedy series, it's unfortunate that fans new and old won't be able to enjoy all 110 episodes on Netflix. Thankfully, all six seasons are still available to watch on Hulu, and likely will be after the Netflix removal in April. But if you're looking to sneak in another binge-watch or a few episodes on Netflix, here are five of the best according to IMDb.

"Modern Warfare" (season 1 episode 23)

Community became known for its larger-than-life paintball competition episodes, which only got wilder as the series went one, and it all started with "Modern Warfare." The Greendale campus devolves into a war zone thanks to the prize the Dean puts on the line for the paintball winner. While the episode also features Jeff and Britta finally hooking up, the episode saw the series fully find its comedic voice as it would later lean even deeper into outlandish parodies.

"Remedial Chaos Theory" (season 3 episode 4)

And a meme was born! You know that gif of Donald Glover walking into absolute chaos holding a pizza box? It originates from this episode of Community. By the third season, the series had carved out its own space and discovered its own unique language. Who would have imagined that a sitcom about a community college study group would feature an episode where rolling dice would result in seven separate timelines showing what happens when a different member of the group collects their pizza?

"A Fistful of Paintballs" (season 2 episode 23)

As mentioned above, the paintball episodes of the series are definitely fan favorites. The two-part season 2 finale begins with "A Fistful of Paintballs," which has the Dean placing a $100,000 prize on the paintball competition and Pierce out for revenge on the rest of his study group. Staying true to the show's tone of parodying popular genres, the episode paid homage to Spaghetti Westerns and was directed by one half of the MCU's Russo Brothers, Joe Russo.

"For a Few Paintballs More" (season 2 episode 24)

The two-part season 2 ender culminates in "For a Few Paintballs More" and it's a continued adventure from the previous episode. As the group fights for survival, Pierce's fake heart attack from the first part results in him winning the competition but later deciding to abandon the study group, turning down their offer to stay part of their group next semester. Although it's another crazy episode of heightened plot, the ending sets the stage for the third season.

"Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design" (season 2 episode 9)

There are so many more memorable, must-watched episodes of Community, but season 2's "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design" ranks as another highly rated fan-favorite. In the episode, the Dean doesn't believe that Jeff actually took a class on conspiracy theories, leading to a wild chain of events. Meanwhile, Troy and Abed build a massive fort, and it's one of the funniest things these besties ever got up to. You can't go wrong with this laugh-out-loud episode!

"Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" (season 2 episode 14) is included in the top five highest-rated episodes on IMDB, but the episode was removed from streaming.
