Our sweet half-human and half-deer hybrid's journey has come to an epic conclusion in Sweet Tooth season 3. The third and final season is now available to stream on Netflix, and we finally get to see how everything wraps up for Gus, Jepperd, and the rest of the characters.

Over three seasons, we watched Gus travel across a post-apocalyptic world as she searches for a new beginning and his mother while battling any threats that come his way. Along his journey, he meets and befriends a bunch of people on their own adventures, some who end up joining him on his journey.

At the end of the explosive season 2 finale, Gus, Jepperd, Wendy, and Bear manage to take down their biggest threat of the season, General Abbot and his minions, before making their way to Alaska in search of Gus's mother, Birdie. Birdie has spent countless years looking for a cure for the Sick, a mysterious, deadly virus that continues to wipe out humanity. Her last whereabouts was Alaska, where she was working to uncover the mysterious origins of the virus. That's why Gus and Co head there in Sweet Tooth season 3. They're eventually joined by Dr. Singh, who we later find out has a dangerous ulterior motive for tagging along.

But their journey is anything but seamless. It's filled with many obstacles as they face a new and even bigger threat in the form of Helen Zhang, the only remaining member of the Three, who is hellbent on restarting human birth and eradicating all hybrids. She's helped by her daughter and her human-wolf hybrid grandkids. The clock to find answers is running out, and the world needs saving. But does Gus have what it takes to lead the way and save the world before it's too late?

I'll start off by saying this. If you watched the first two seasons of the fantasy drama series, then you must come back and watch the third and final season. It's just the right thing to do. You spent hours upon hours watching seasons 1 and 2. Don't you want to see how everything comes to a close? Also, this season, in my opinion, tops both seasons 1 and 2.

I received advance screeners for Sweet Tooth season 3, and while I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed, I was still surprised by how amazing this season was. I'm not usually one to binge-watch a season in one sitting, but that's what I did with Sweet Tooth season 3. I just couldn't stop hitting the "next episode" button because every episode ended on a shocking cliffhanger that left me wanting more. I was completely hooked throughout the entire season, and I was determined to see it to the end.

The third season was said to be much darker than previous seasons, and the show's creative team wasn't lying at all. With everything coming to a head for Gus and his friends in season 3, it made sense why there was a tonal shift and a ratcheting of the tension. This season is also more action-packed and filled with a ton of more twists and turns. These are just some of the main reasons why this season was enjoyable to watch.

The strong performances from the cast and the high-quality production design are two other reasons why I was completely hooked. I'm not sure what the budget was for this season, but it seems like they stepped it up when it comes to production value. The beautiful cinematography, detailed set designs, and amazing special effects definitely kept my attention as well.

Over three seasons, we've watched Gus mature and grow, and in season 3, he's no longer the little naive kid he once was. He's matured into a fearless leader who is on a mission to save the world. Overall, you should watch Sweet Tooth season 3 to find out what ends up being the fate of humanity and hybrids. Will humans survive and inherit the Earth or hybrids?

Honestly, the only reason I can give for why someone should skip this season is if they have an issue with violence. While the first two seasons had their fair share of violent scenes, it seems that Sweet Tooth season 3 has much more. A lot of that has to do with the show's tonal shift. We're not going to get into that much spoilery content, but we wanted to give an example of what we mean by this. There's a scene this season showing a human-animal hybrid being stabbed and then shot to death. Although the stabbing and shooting weren't prolonged, some people might still have a problem seeing this cruelty play out.

There are also scenes showing characters being brutally attacked by human-wolf hybrids. However, most of these scenes are brief. Honestly, if you've watched the first two seasons of the fantasy drama, you should have no problem watching the third and final season. It's the same show but with just darker themes. We still recommend watching Sweet Tooth season 3 regardless. If you have an issue with violence, just skip over all the violent scenes. You don't have to skip the third season altogether.
