Why Kitty should be with Dae (not Min Ho or Yuri) in XO, Kitty season 2

We're all patiently waiting on XO, Kitty season 2, but it looks like it's going to be a while before we actually see the show back on our screens. Why? Well, we haven't heard any news about the new season since its renewal back in June 2023.

Obviously, the writers and actors strikes slowed things down. But both strikes ended late last year, and we still haven't heard a peep about season 2 from Netflix or the creative team behind the teen series. We're keeping our fingers crossed that we learn some good news soon, though.

In the meantime, we've been thinking about what XO, Kitty season 2 could be about. Although plot details haven't been revealed yet, it's pretty obvious that Kitty will be headed back to KISS. So, what does this mean for her love life?

At the end of XO, Kitty season 1, Kitty doesn't end up with anyone. First, she breaks things off with Dae at the airport. Then, she tries to confess her feelings to Yuri but is interrupted by Juliana. And when it comes to Min Ho, Min Ho tells Kitty on the plane that he loves her, but Kitty doesn't say anything back. So, Kitty ends the season single and on her way back home to Portland, Oregon.

Obviously, Kitty isn't going to stay single for long, especially with three love interests. She might've broken up with Dae in the first season, but Dae still wants to be with her. So we can't count him out as a love interest. I can see him trying to win her back in season 2. Min Ho confessed his love to Kitty at the end of season 1, so he'll likely be vying for her affection in season 2 as well. Now, when it comes to Yuri, it gets a little complicated.

Kitty has a crush on Yuri, but we never got to see if Yuri actually feels the same way. They shared some cute moments in season 1, but romantic feelings were never discussed. When Kitty finally got the opportunity to do so, she was interrupted by Juliana. But with Kitty coming back to KISS in season 2, I don't think we've seen the end of her and Yuri. I could see Yuri either developing feelings for Kitty in season 2 or realizing that she's liked her as more than a friend all along.

Now, if you were to ask me who I think Kitty should pick out of the three of them. I would say Dae. Wait! Hear me out, please. I am a huge Kitty and Min Ho shipper and Kitty and Yuri shipper, but if we lined up all of Kitty's love interests, Dae is the better fit.

Overall, he was a good boyfriend to Kitty. He truly loved and wanted the best for her but was just caught up in some mess that ultimately played a part in the demise of their relationship. Of course, Kitty's newfound feelings for Yuri were a huge factor in their breakup, though.

While Kitty has more chemistry with Min Ho and Yuri, I can see them breaking her heart if she were to choose one of them. Yuri might realize that she likes Kitty in season 2, but there's no way she's going to forget about her first love Juliana, especially now that she's back at KISS. I would hate for Kitty to be heartbroken all over again.

With Min Ho, it's obvious that he cares about Kitty, but I think he needs more time to figure out what he really wants before jumping into a relationship. He was just hooking up with Madison, and just realized that he's ready for a relationship. If he and Kitty were to get together, it would be his first real relationship. What if he's not a good boyfriend? Kitty doesn't need any more stress in her life.

But who knows? Maybe Min Ho and Yuri will prove me wrong in XO, Kitty season 2. We'll just have to wait and see.
