What to watch this weekend on Netflix: The Umbrella Academy, Love is Blind, and more

Happy weekend, Netflix watchers! There's a bunch of new Netflix movies and shows to watch this weekend (Aug. 9-11).

If you're looking for what to watch this weekend on Netflix, we picked out five shows and movies for you! Then, we shared the list of the rest of the new releases for this weekend on Netflix.

Let's get the list started with an oldie with new versions airing RIGHT NOW!

Love is Blind

Love is Blind US isn't back on Netflix until this fall, but there are two new versions that fans need to watch right now. Love is Blind Mexico and Love is Blind UK premiered on Netflix earlier this month, and they are both fantastic. Love is Blind Mexico is a bit further along, so you need to watch quickly to catch up before the season 1 finale hits Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 15.

Love is Blind UK just started on Wednesday, Aug. 7. There are seven episodes left in the season as of right now with five new episodes coming on Wednesday, Aug. 14. The last two episodes of season 1 hit Netflix on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

The Umbrella Academy season 4

The Umbrella Academy season 4, the final season of the series, is now on Netflix as of Aug. 8, 2024. I really enjoyed the six-episode final season. I know some fans didn't like the ending, but to me, it felt like the perfect way to wrap up this story. Obviously, I'm not going to spoil the final season, but the Hargreeves siblings are up against it, big time. One more time, they have to save the world.

All of your favorites are back for season 4, including Robert Sheehan, Elliot Page, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Ritu Arya, and more. David Cross, Nick Offerman, and Megan Mullaly also star in the final season.

Farewell, Brellies!

Inside the Mind of a Dog

Narrated by Rob Lowe, Inside the Mind of a Dog was just released on Netflix on Aug. 9, and it's an incredible new documentary. Inside the Mind of a Dog shares more information than ever before about the way dogs think, communicate, and behave.

If you want to know what's on your dog's mind, this is the documentary for you. I love dogs, so you know I'll be watching this weekend!

Emily in Paris

No, Emily in Paris does not have new episodes on Netflix quite yet, but that's about to change very soon! Emily in Paris season 4 part 1 hits Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 15. Lily Collins is back as Emily after that incredible season 3 finale! I'm not going to spoil what happened, but I will say that y'all need to watch or re-watched before all five episodes of season 4 part 1 hit Netflix next week.

You'll have to wait a bit to see the end of season 4, though. Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 hits Netflix on Sept. 12.
