Scoot on into the best booth at MacLaren's Pub because we have some catching up to with one of the best sitcom friend groups of all time!

All nine seasons of How I Met Your Mother are coming back to Netflix on June 3, 2024. If you have been hankering for a rewatch, now is your chance to relive all the funniest and most memorable moments, including that deeply polarizing series finale.

The complete series of How I Met Your Mother releases on Netflix at midnight PDT on Monday, June 3, which is 3 a.m. EDT. Of course, Ted Mosby's mom has been known to say that nothing good happens after 2 a.m., but over 200 episodes of HIMYM dropping on Netflix on 3 a.m. sounds like something good to me. Midnight owls, get your laughs when you want to!

How I Met Your Mother ended 10 years ago

For those who somehow haven't heard of the series at all or at least haven't watched, the sitcom centers on Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) as looks for true love. In the future, he tells his children the story of how he met their mother, which is the story we see play out for nine seasons as narrated by Bob Saget. It's a winding, mysterious, mythological, and hopelessly romantic tale.

The Emmy Award-nominated CBS comedy series also stars Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders, and Neil Patrick Harris. Over the course of its seasons, the sitcom welcomed a number of high-profile guest stars, including Bryan Cranston, Sarah Chalke, Jennifer Morrison, John Lithgow, Becki Newton, Kal Penn, Katy Perry, and of course Britney Spears.

How I Met Your Mother first premiered in 2005 and aired its final episode in March 2014. It's wild to think that it's been a full decade since the show came to an end with one of the most talked about and, if we're being honest, hated series finales ever. Very few people, if any, actually like how the series ended, but you'll have to see for yourself on Netflix. Is the ending better 10 years later?
