Bill Skarsgård delivers in The Crow reboot, but you can't watch on Netflix
In a world of reboots, The Crow is something we didn’t initially think we needed. Then we found out that Bill Skarsgård was taking on the leading role.
The movie is currently out in theaters, and that is the place to turn to watch it. However, there is some bad news when it comes to streaming afterward. This is not a movie that will head to Netflix, but we do know the likely streaming home.
The Crow follows the story of Eric Draven and Shelly Webster, two soulmates who are brutally murdered when their demons from their pasts catch up with them. Eric is given a chance at setting things right, but it will mean a sacrifice. He can see revenge against the killers and sacrifice himself to bring Shelly back from the dead.
The Crow will not stream on Netflix
After the theatrical release, The Crow will head to streaming platforms. In some bad news, Netflix is not going to be one of the immediate homes. It could eventually become the home, but this won’t be for a few years.
As a Lionsgate movie, there are a couple of homes that it will go to. It’s likely to head to Starz at first. After that, it’s going to head to Peacock. NBCUniversal managed to score the Pay-2 window, which is the second streaming home. It looks like Starz still holds the Pay-1 window, as it has done in the past.
The Crow cast
Bill Skarsgård will star as Eric Draven, and he is the reason we’re so excited about this reboot. Who doesn’t love any of the Skarsgård family in roles. They kill everything they do!
FKA Twigs will take on the role of Eric’s fiancée, Shelly. The rest of the cast is made up of:
Danny Huston as Vincent Roeg, a demonic crime lord
Josette Simon as Sophia, Shelly's mother
Laura Birn as Marian, Roeg's right-hand woman
Sami Bouajila as Kronos, a spirit that guides Eric in his mission
Isabella Wei as Zadie
Jordan Bolger as Chance, a tattoo artist and friend of Eric and Shelly
There is a change to the ending, which opens up this movie to a sequel should it perform well in theaters. If you want to see more of this, you’ll definitely want to watch it on the big screen first and then watch it on streaming as soon as it’s available.
