This Is Us cast guide: What they're up to now after the series

Now that all six seasons of This Is Us are streaming on Netflix, the Emmy-winning NBC drama is bound to find new life among audiences. Newcomers and fans alike are flocking to the show already, either to watch it for the first time or to revisit their favorite family, the Pearsons.

Featuring a talented cast of award-winning actors like Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Mandy Moore, and many more, This Is Us boasts a fantastic ensemble and once you're done watching all 106 episodes, you might be curious to see what they're up to these days now that the show has come to an end.

Milo Ventimiglia

Milo Ventimiglia, 46, played the beloved character Jack Pearson on This Is Us. As fans know, Jack was Rebecca's first husband and the biological father of Kate and Kevin, along with the adoptive father of Randall. Prior to This Is Us, Ventimiglia was already popular for his work in shows like Heroes and Gilmore Girls. He earned three Emmy nominations for his performance on the family drama.

Since the series ended, Ventimiglia went on to star in an ABC drama series titled The Company You Keep. Unfortunately, the show was canceled after just one season and removed from Hulu so the only way to watch it now is by purchasing it through a digital retailer like Amazon or Apple. His only other project lined up for the moment is an action thriller film co-starring Liam Hemsworth, Luke Hemsworth, and Russell Crowe. Land of Bad will be released on February 16, 2024.

Mandy Moore

For my fellow '90s babies, Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actress Mandy Moore was probably one of the most recognizable additions to the cast. Playing Rebecca Pearson, the bio mom of Kevin and Kate and adoptive mother of Randall, plus Jack's wife. Growing up, I remember Moore for her singing career and movies like Chasing Liberty, The Princess Diaries, Saved!, and A Walk to Remember.

Post-This Is Us, the 39 year old star has kept herself busy, landing another lead role in the second season of the Peacock series Dr. Death, which released on December 21, 2023 and is now streaming. She has also reprised her role as Tangled star Rapunzel a couple of times in the 2023 animated special Lego Disney Princess: The Castle Quest and the short film Once Upon a Studio.

Sterling K. Brown

Now let's get into what the Pearson babies are doing these days! Sterling K. Brown, 47, is one of the most lauded members of the cast, having won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Randall Pearson. Before that, he had won an Emmy for playing Christopher Darden in American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

After This Is Us wrapped, Brown has pivoted more to films and voice acting, with roles in the hit Prime Video show Invincible and Apple TV+'s Interrupting Chicken. He also stars in the acclaimed 2023 film American Fiction and the sci-fi comedy Biosphere. Next, Brown will star alongside Jennifer Lopez, Simu Liu, and Lana Parrilla in Netflix's sci-fi thriller Atlas.

Justin Hartley

Kevin Pearson, brother to Randall and Kate, son of Rebecca and Jack, was played by 46-year-old actor Justin Hartley, whose previous credits include Smallville, Revenge, The Young and the Restless, and Mistresses.

Once he landed a series regular role on This Is Us, Hartley rose to prominence and has since gone on to star in projects like Bad Moms Christmas, and the Netflix movies The Noel Diary and Senior Year. His next big project is a leading role in the upcoming action series Tracker, which will premiere on CBS after Super Bowl LVIII.

Chrissy Metz

Actress and singer Chrissy Metz has been acting pretty consistently since 2005, but she gained mainstream acclaim after landing the role of Kate Pearson in This Is Us. Before that, she had a few guest-starring roles in shows like Entourage and American Horror Story.

Her work on the acclaimed NBC drama earned her both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Since starting on the show, the 43-year-old has gone on to star in films such as Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, Breakthrough, Stay Awake, and A Creature Was Stirring.

Susan Kelechi Watson

Susan Kelechi Watson, 42, plays another important character on the show, Beth, a Pearson by marriage as she married Randall Pearson and the two had three beautiful children together. Before landing the part of Beth on This Is Us, Watson played Janet in the FX comedy series Louie. Her work on This Is Us garnered her a Critics' Choice Award nomination.

During her time on This Is Us, from 2016 to 2022, Watson supplemented her work with roles in Divorce, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, and Rumble. She also voiced a character in the Netflix animated series Ada Twist, Scientist. Netflix subscribers will get to see Watson again soon as she landed a role in the upcoming Shondaland series The Residence.

Chris Sullivan

You can't really get into the story of Kate Pearson without discussing Toby Damon, a rather divisive character played by the charismatic actor Chris Sullivan. His work on the show earned the 43-year-old two Primetime Emmy nominations. Sadly, as fans of This Is Us know, the relationship between Toby and Kate ultimately did not work out and they divorced by the end of the series, though they do share two children together.

Sullivan has been in a lot of different projects over the years, including popular titles like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Stranger Things, The Americans, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and The Good Fight. He's also done quite a bit of stage work, acting in theatrical productions of Hadestown, Chicago, The Thanksgiving Play, and more. Most recently, he had a guest role on American Dad and voiced Bane in the Prime Video special Merry Little Batman. He'll next star in the Steven Soderbergh film Presence alongside Lucy Liu and Julia Fox.

Jon Huertas

Speaking of divisive characters, not all fans were happy to see Rebecca get remarried to someone other than Jack. Jon Huertas was a former friend of Jack's and he becomes Rebecca's second husband Miguel Rivas. Starting off in a recurring role, Huertas was upped to a series regular from season 2 onward.

The 54 year old has a long filmography featuring hit projects like Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, and The Rookie, though he's probably best known for playing Javier Esposito on the long-running procedural Castle. Since This Is Us ended, Huertas has pivoted to directing, working with Milo Ventimiglia again as a director on The Company You Keep and also directing an episode of The Rookie spinoff The Rookie: Feds.
