This Is Us cast ages: How old are Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, and more?

Just under two years since we said goodbye to the Pearson family in the series finale of the NBC family drama, This Is Us landed on Netflix to make all of us cry all over again.

The beloved, Emmy Award-nominated series arrived on the streamer at the top of the year thanks to a new streaming deal between Netflix and Disney, the first of many titles arriving throughout 2024. Now, fans are reliving the emotional, multi-generational journey of the Pearsons, while others are experiencing the highs and lows for the first time.

Jumping through time happens to be one of the core aspects of the series, and that means many of the main cast members have had to put on some age makeup a play their characters decades into the future. Being so, some viewers might be a little confused about how old some of the main actors are in real life. We're sharing the ages of the This Is Us main cast members.

Milo Ventimiglia as Jack Pearson

Milo Ventimiglia was born on July 8, 1977, making the Jack Pearson actor 46 years old as of January 2024. When he started playing Jack Pearson in September 2016, he was 39 years old. In the pilot episode, Jack turns 36 years old on the day the Big Three are born, though Ventimiglia plays Jack at different ages pre- and post-36 throughout the six seasons of the series. When the series ended in May 2022, Ventimiglia was 44 years old.

Mandy Moore as Rebecca Pearson

Mandy Moore was born on April 10, 1984, which means the Rebecca Pearson actress will be turning 40 years old in 2024. When she started playing the Pearson matriarch in This Is Us back in September 2016, Moore was 32 years old, and when the series ended, she was 38 years old. She brought Rebecca to life from her young adulthood to her death in her 80s. As we'll come to see, she was actually younger than all of her on-screen children!

Sterling K. Brown as Randall Pearson

Sterling K. Brown was born on April 5, 1976, making the Randall Pearson actor 47 years old as of January 2024. When This Is Us premiered in September 2016, Brown was 40 years old, nearly a decade older than his on-screen adoptive mom and a year older than his on-screen adoptive dad. He had recently turned 46 years old when the series aired its final episode in May 2022.

Chrissy Metz as Kate Pearson

Chrissy Metz was born on Sept. 29, 1980, which means the Kate Pearson actress will be turning 44 years old in 2024. Again, she's a few years older than her on-screen mom Mandy Moore. When she first started playing Kate when the series debuted on Sept. 20, 2016, Metz was about to turn 36, the exact age of her character in the pilot episode. Upon the show's wrap in May 2022, Metz was 41 years old.

Justin Hartley as Kevin Pearson

Justin Hartley was born on Jan. 29, 1977, which means the Kevin Pearson actor will be turning 47 years old in January 2024. He's the same age but a few months older than his on-screen father Milo Ventimiglia. Like Ventimiglia, when the series premiered in September 2016, Hartley was 39, and when it wrapped, he was 45.

Susan Kelechi Watson as Beth Pearson

Susan Kelechi Watson was born on Nov. 11, 1981, which makes the Beth Pearson actress 42 years old as of January 2024. She's a few years younger than her on-screen husband Sterling K. Brown. When This Is Us made its first splash in September 2016, Watson was nearing her 35th birthday, and when the show finished its run in May 2022, she was 40 years old.

Chris Sullivan as Toby Damon

Chris Sullivan was born on July 19, 1980, which makes the Toby Damon actor 43 years old as of January 2024. He's only a couple months older than his on-screen ex-wife (sorry, spoilers!) Chrissy Metz. When season 1 started airing in September 2016, Sullivan was 36 years old. After the series ended in May 2022, he was about to turn 42.

Jon Huertas as Miguel Rivas

Jon Huertas was born on Oct. 23, 1969, which makes the Miguel actor 54 years old as of January 2024. He's the oldest long-standing member of the main cast, as he was a series regular from season 2 to the final season. When he first took on the role of Jack's best friend turned Rebecca's future second husband, Huertas was 46 years old. After six seasons, Huertas was 52 years old.
