The Tearsmith cast: Meet all the talented actors who portray characters in the film

Today is the day! The Tearsmith is officially out, and it's definitely one of the new Netflix movies that you should add to your watchlist. Read along to learn everything there is to know about it, including who's in the cast.

The Tearsmith, otherwise known as Fabbricante di lacrime, is an Italian romantic drama movie directed by Alessandro Genovesi from a screenplay he co-wrote with Eleonora Fiorini. If the movie's title sounds familiar to you, it's probably because you read the novel it's based on. It's based on the bestselling book of the same name by Erin Doom.

It tells the complicated love story of two teens with a troubled past. Nica and Rigel grew up together at an orphanage called The Grave, which was run by an abusive matron. But they didn't really get along while there. At 17 years old, Nica's dream of being adopted finally comes true and she's over the moon about this good news. Well, that's until her new adoptive parents decide to adopt Rigel too.

Now, they must live together under the same roof and pretend to get along for their parents' sake. But wait! There's obvious romantic tension between the two no matter how hard they try to fight it. Could this forbidden love be both of their undoing? Find out by watching The Tearsmith on Netflix.

She is 20 years old, and her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. In addition, she is reportedly a little over 5 feet 9 inches tall. She's a newcomer to the acting world with her role as Nica in The Tearsmith being her first major role. We'll see her next in an upcoming drama series called Belcanto. Pictured above to the right is Simone Baldasseroni in character as Rigel. He's an Italian actor and singer who was born in Rome, Italy, on Dec. 19, 1998. He is 25 years old, and his zodiac sign is Sagittarius. In addition to his real name, Simone, he goes by Biondo, which is his stage name. He's a Hip-hop artist who has released several albums. In fact, his album Dejavu is certified gold.

Unlike his co-star Caterina who doesn't have much acting experience yet, Simone has been in several other projects before The Tearsmith. Some of his previous projects include roles in the movies È per il tuo bene, Crazy for Football and Cinquanta km all'ora. He also starred as Michele in the comedy-drama series Che Dio ci aiuti and as Ruggine in the mystery series Vivere non è un gioco da ragazzi. We'll see him next in the upcoming rom-com L'amor fuggente. He plays the role of Xebo.
