Netflix has made it its mission to constantly share content from all over the world on its platform. When it comes to Asian content, Korean shows and movies are leading the pack on the streamer. However, there's a lot of Thai content on Netflix as well, and many are worth checking out. Specifically, the Thai series on Netflix.

I've watched several Thai shows on the streaming platform, and while some were entertaining to watch, others were absolutely boring. If you're looking to broaden your watchlist, you should definitely check out our list below. We shared 5 Thai series on Netflix that we believe are worth watching.

Naturally, we'd start with easily one of the best Thai shows released on Netflix this year, Ready, Set, Love.

Ready, Set, Love

Although Ready, Set, Love was released back in February 2024, I still can't stop talking about this amazing show. It's super funny, and I found myself constantly laughing throughout the entire series. The lead actress, Kemisara "Belle" Paladesh, was perfectly fit for the main role, and she gave an outstanding performance in each episode. You might recognize her from her previous role as Koi in the popular Thai teen drama series Hormones: The Series. The same can be said for the other main cast members such as Pongtiwat "Blue" Tangwancharoen, Trisanu "Man" Soranun, Chayapak "New" Tunprayoon, Phuriphat "P-U" Jiramethapon, Nichapalak "Lilly" Thongkham, etc.

It's a romantic comedy series set in a world where men are vastly outnumbered by women due to a mysterious plague. Since the male population is so small in Thailand, the government gathers them all up and forces them to live in a place called "The Farm." Women then compete for the affection of the few available men in a government-sponsored competition called “Ready, Set, Love" with hopes of getting married. The women in the competition who win end up living on The Farm and their families are forever taken care of by the government.

The six-episode first season centers around an ordinary young woman named Day, who isn't looking for love and doesn't see the purpose of the competition. But when her sick sister secretly enters her into the competition, she does everything she can to win so that she can help get her sister the best medical care. However, she wasn't expecting to fall in love in the process. Well-known Thai actress Kemisara "Belle" Paladesh stars as Day.

Girl from Nowhere

If you're looking for something that's dark and full of mystery, you need to check out the critically acclaimed Thai series Girl from Nowhere. There are two seasons in total, and both are streaming on Netflix. It's a mystery thriller anthology series following a mysterious teen girl who frequently transfers to different private schools in Thailand to expose the lies and misdeeds that the students and faculty of the schools have kept hidden. Thai actress and singer Chicha "Kitty" Amatayakul stars as Nanno, the mysterious student. Fellow Thai actress Chanya "Nink" McClory joins Kitty in the second season as Nanno's rival, Yuri.

Oh My Ghost

Jiew is a skilled chef who can occasionally see ghosts. She has a huge crush on a colleague, but unfortunately for her, her colleague doesn't feel the same way. One day, a sassy ghost named Kaopoon possesses Jiew's body. Kaopoon is on a mission to lose her virginity so that she can cross over. By possessing Jiew's body, she gives Jiew a newfound confidence, and this attracts her longtime crush. This is what Oh My Ghost is about. You can watch the one and only season on Netflix.

It's a romantic drama starring Thai actress Nuengthida "Noona" Sophon as a gifted yet timid chef named Jiew. In addition, Arak "Pae" Amornsupasiri plays Jiew's love interest, Chef Artit, and Keerati "Gypsy" Mahaplearkpong as the sassy spirit, Kaopoon.

6ixtynin9: The Series

Consisting of only six episodes, 6ixtynin9: The Series is a show that's easy to binge-watch in one sitting. It's a reimagining of the award-winning Thai film of the same name by Pen-Ek Ratanaruang and stars Davika "Mai" Hoorne in the leading role. It's a dark crime comedy series centering around a young woman named Toom, who after being laid off from her insurance company job during the COVID-19 pandemic, discovers a mysterious box filled with cash on her apartment doorstep. She decides to keep it, but things take a turn for the worse when the two gangsters that left it there come back for it.

I Need Romance

Last but certainly not least is the charming romantic comedy series I Need Romance. Unlike the other Thai shows on this list which are considered Netflix originals, I Need Romance is a series that Netflix has licensed. That means it can be removed from the streaming platform at any time. So, we'd recommend checking out this show first.

It tells the love story between a workaholic who has given up on love and a charming songwriter who makes it his goal to restore her faith in romance. Khemanit "Pancake" Jamikorn stars in one of the leading roles as Najai, a 33-year-old woman who has lost all interest in love until she reunites with an old childhood friend. Thitipoom "New" Techaapaikhun stars in the other leading role as Alan, a gifted songwriter and Najai's childhood friend whom she reunites with in Bangkok.
