Shrek is among the list of 29 movies leaving Netflix in July 2024

July is going to bring with it the arrival of several amazing new movies for subscribers to enjoy across the month; however, the new month is also going to bring about the departures of several amazing Netflix movies including one that has been enjoying weeks in the Top 10. 

I’m referring to Dreamworks’ Shrek which sadly will be leaving Netflix on July 31, meaning fans will have until the end of the month to enjoy the iconic animated hit which has been captivating audiences for over 20 years. Since coming to Netflix for its latest stint on the streaming service, subscribers have been enjoying the film with rewatches and first-time watches helping Shrek land in the Top 10 list for movies several weeks in a row. 

But alas, all good things must come to an end and Shrek’s time on Netflix is one of them. At the moment, Netflix has been the only place where fans can stream Shrek without any additional cost, so it’s going to be interesting to see if the film lands elsewhere or if we’ll have to go back to settling for renting or buying the movie on the likes of Prime Video or Apple TV+ when we want to watch the classic animated hit. 

Unfortunately, Shrek isn’t the only movie that will be leaving Netflix this July as there are over two dozen movies set to be purged from the Netflix catalog across July. 

Among the many movies set to leave Netflix in July 2024 are Anaconda, Fatal Attraction, King Richard, Knocked Up, Resident Evil, and all three Matrix movies.
