Santa Claus isn't the only one coming to town this Christmas! Sabrina Carpenter will be joining jolly old Saint Nick this holiday season by delivering a special gift of her own. On Sept. 19, Netflix officially announced some exciting news about the pop star that had been rumored for a couple weeks: She's debuting her first Netflix Christmas special this December!

A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter makes its premiere on Friday, Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT. The special will stream (not live) exclusively on Netflix and feature the singer performing holiday songs from her 2023 Christmas EP titled Fruitcake. According to Netflix, the special promises "show-stopping music performances, comedic guests, unexpected duets, plus many more surprises and fun cameos." Start making your predictions for duets and cameos now!

The title of the special, A Nonsense Christmas, refers to Carpenter's Christmas remix of her 2022 hit single "Nonsense." Following the song's rise in popularity thanks to her innuendo-laden renditions on tour, the fan-favorite single received a holiday spin with refreshed lyrics and some unmistakably Christmas-tinged bells. It's not your mother's Christmas carol, that's for sure.

Carpenter included the catchy Christmas tune on the six-song EP Fruitcake, which released in November 2023 and featured four more original holiday songs and a cover of "White Christmas" renamed "White Xmas." The superstar will likely perform Fruitcake in its entirety but with some guests on some of the tracks and maybe even a surprise new song or two. Maybe a holiday remix of "Espresso" or "Please Please Please"?

While Carpenter released her first album back in 2015 and has been working as an actress since 2011, she rose to a new level of fame in 2024 with the release of her song "Espresso." The single became her first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and preceded her first No. 1 hit on the chart, "Please, Please, Please."

Since the release of her sixth album, Short n' Sweet, Carpenter has continued to dominate the charts, break some records, and make more personal achievements in her career. The album became her first No. 1 and top 10 album on the Billboard 200, and has spent three consecutive weeks at the peak as of Sept. 19. She's on top of the world, so it's no surprise Netflix wants a shot of that espresso!

Prepare for A Nonsense Christmas and listen to Fruitcake below!
