Outer Banks season 4 and 4 other Netflix teen shows we hope will come out in 2024

Cheers to a new year! Throughout 2024, Netflix will be releasing tons of great content of various genres, and we can't wait to check out every new release.

Coming to the streamer this January is the shows The Brothers Sun, Gyeongseong Creature season 1 part 2, Queer Eye season 8, Griselda and many other titles. And this is just a small portion of what everyone can expect. The streaming giant has way more amazing shows returning this year as well as new shows premiering.

But what about Netflix teen shows? What teen series will be released in 2024? Well, the teen show Heartbreak High has already been confirmed to come back with its second season some time this year. Also, Young Royals season 3 is scheduled to be released in March 2024. But unfortunately, we don't have any more confirmed 2024 releases for any other Netflix teen shows at the moment.

However, we're keeping our fingers crossed that some of our favorite teen series on Netflix do eventually return with new seasons this year. Yes, we're talking about you, Outer Banks!

Outer Banks season 4

The Pogues were in a lot of trouble last season, and it looks like they'll be on another wild adventure in the upcoming Outer Banks season 4. Based on the third season's ending, it looks like John B., Sarah, and the rest of the friend group will be on the hunt again but this time to find Blackbeard's buried treasure.

Production on season 4 is still ongoing, so there isn't a release date yet. But with where the show is currently in the filmmaking process, there's a good chance that the new season could come out by the end of 2024. A mid-to-late 2024 release is what we're looking at at the moment. If Outer Banks season 4 does end up coming out this year, it'll definitely be one of the streamer's top releases of 2024.

XO, Kitty season 2

XO, Kitty season 1 saw teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey involved in a complicated love square with two guys and one girl. But although the first season ends with Kitty on a plane back to Portland, Oregon after being expelled from KISS, it's obvious that she will make her way back to Seoul, South Korea in the upcoming XO, Kitty season 2. Remember, Yuri told her mom to take back Kitty's expulsion at the end of season 1. I wonder how everything will pan out for Kitty once she arrives back at KISS.

Principal photography hasn't begun on season 2 yet. In fact, it's unknown whether the scripts for the second season have even been written. This makes us nervous that XO, Kitty season 2 won't be coming out this year. While filming shouldn't take that long, it's unclear how long post-production will last. Our best release prediction for now is late 2024, but we could be looking at a 2025 release. Work on season 2 needs to get started ASAP so we can see XO, Kitty season 2 sooner rather than later.

Ginny & Georgia season 3

One of the best teen series on Netflix is arguably Ginny & Georgia. It follows the lives of the dysfunctional Miller family which is made up of free-spirted single mom Georgia, her angsty teen daughter Ginny and her caring 9 year old son Austin. They pack up their bags and move to the fictional Wellsbury town for a fresh new start.

After a smash hit second season, Netflix decided to renew the show for not one season, but two! That means we can expect a Ginny & Georgia season 3 and 4 in the future. With preparation on the third season rumored to start in Toronto in February, it looks like the earliest we could possibly see the new season is late 2024. There's even a possibility that we might not see the third season until 2025. That's if things don't get started soon. But obviously, we're hoping to see Ginny & Georgia season 3 by the end of 2024.

My Life with the Walter Boys season 2

My Life with Walter Boys was released on Netflix in December 2023 and was an instant hit for the streamer. Since so many people tuned in to watch the first season, Netflix went ahead and renewed the teen series for a second season only 12 days after the first season's premiere.

The show follows the life of 15 year old teen girl Jackie Howard, who after discovering that her entire family died in a tragic car accident, is forced to relocate to the rural town of Silver Falls, Colorado to live with her new guardian and her family. But what Jackie wasn't expecting to do was fall for two boys. And to make things more complicated, the two boys happen to be her new guardian's sons.

Obviously, production on My Life with the Walter Boys season 2 hasn't started yet seeing as though the show was just renewed in December 2023. Scripts still need to be written, so it'll be a while before filming starts.

Honestly, the season 2 release date is hard to predict at the moment since the filmmaking process hasn't even begun yet. But we're probably looking at a late 2024 release at the very earliest. However, a 2025 release looks more likely since there needs to be enough time for production and post-production. We'll definitely make sure to share the official release date with everyone once it's known.

I Woke Up a Vampire season 2

I Woke Up a Vampire season 2 hasn't been confirmed by Netflix, but we're still expecting there to be a second season. Why? Well, the first season is made up of 16 episodes in total, but Netflix decided to only release the first eight in October 2023. That means the remaining eight episodes will probably be released on Netflix in a season 2 or a season 1 part 2 at a later date. It's unclear why Netflix hasn't revealed this information yet. Maybe there's a licensing issue.

Since the remaining eight episodes have already been filmed and edited, they could really be released on Netflix sometime this year. We're just waiting on the streamer to make the announcement.
