Netflix might not have the meats, but they do have Beef. And, they might have found their new stars for Beef season 2.

According to a report from Deadline, Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are in negotiations with Netflix to star in Beef season 2. Nothing is official right now, and Netflix even refused to comment on the news, which is typical for the streamer this early in the process.

It's safe to say Isaac and Mulligan would be slam dunks for Beef season 2. Both actors are incredibly talented. We'd be excited to see what they can bring to Beef season 2, assuming all the details are worked out and the letters are crossed and dotted acccordingly.

Ultimately, Netflix has not officially ordered Beef season 2. Conversations about the new season have been happening as far back as April 2023, according to Rolling Stone. As you'll recall, Ali Wong and Steven Yeun starred in the first season of the Netflix original series from Lee Sung Jin. Beef won eight Emmys including Outstanding Limited Series.

The report also mentions that Beef season 2 will revolve around two feuding couples, so it's unclear if Mulligan and Isaac would be playing partners in the series or if they'd be a part of different couples who are involved in a -- you guessed it! -- beef in season 2.

You also might remember that news broke back in February that Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal were being eyed to star in Beef season 2. Deadline is reporting that Hathaway and Gyllenhaal are officially out on Beef season 2. Isaac and Mulligan are in talks to play the same characters that Hathaway and Gyllenhaal were going to play in Beef season 2, according to the report.

Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny were also mentioned in those early reports. It's unclear if they are still involved with the project or not.

It's so hard to process all of this news when Netflix hasn't even officially ordered Beef season 2. Clearly, there are conversations happening behind the scenes about a possible season, but it's still quite early. Based on the success of Beef's first season, there's no doubt Netflix wants to continue creating in this space.

As more developments happen, we'll share more information about Beef season 2. Sadly, we're just in the waiting game right now.
