New Netflix movies and shows coming in March 2024

Spaceman

Release Date: March 1

Adam Sandler's back with his next new Netflix movie after last year's animated hit Leo. This time around, he's not playing a lizard but an astronaut named Jakub in Spaceman. While on a solitary mission, the astronaut comes to the realization that by the time he gets back to Earth, his marriage could be over. Being so, he turns to a creature he discovers on his ship to talk him through his problems. It's an intriguing premise that's unlike anything Sandler has done before. Don't miss Spaceman when it begins streaming at the top of March.

Damsel

Release Date: March 8

If you're getting tired of waiting for Stranger Things season 5, well... there's still a decent amount of waiting left to do, so we should get used to it. But there will be plenty of projects from the cast to hold us over in the meantime. Millie Bobby Brown's latest collaboration with Netflix comes in the form of the dark fantasy film Damsel. Brown stars as Elodie, a damsel who marries a prince, only to learn his family is using her as a sacrifice to pay back a debt. Locked in a cave with a dragon, Elodie must prove she's no damsel in distress. Check out Brown as an action hero on March 8!

Irish Wish

Release Date: March 15

Lindsay Lohan returns to Netflix with her second original movie on the streamer, her first being the 2023 hit Falling for Christmas. Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, Lohan stars in the romantic comedy Irish Wish. It's a bit of a My Best Friend's Wedding situation when Maddie (Lohan) acts as a bridesmaid in the wedding of her ex boyfriend (who she's still down bad for) and best friend. But a wish makes her wake up as the bride-to-be only to discover that might not be what she wants after all.

Shirley

Release Date: March 22

Academy Award winner Regina King headlines Shirley, the biopic about Shirley Chisholm, who was the first Black candidate to run for president in 1972 as well as the first Black woman to be voted into Congress. The film tells Chisholm's story of how she broke boundaries and became a political icon that was so vital in moving the United States forward. Shirley also stars Lance Reddick, Terrance Howard, Lucas Hedges, and André Holland, but it will be King's performance that we'll all be talking about well into awards season.

What's coming to Netflix in March 2024?

Beyond the movies and shows spotlighted in the previous slide and above, Netflix boasts some great selections throughout March. The complete series of the medical drama series The Resident will arrive near the top of the month as will the second season of the streamer's golf docuseries Full Swing. For some laughs, the end of the month brings The Casagrandes Movie and the third season of the baking competition series Is It Cake?
