It's the beginning of a new year and Netflix has a bunch of new movies and shows to start 2024 off right. Whether you're looking to binge-watch a franchise or two, you want to watch a new thriller series, or you want to check out one of the best music-related movies of all time, Netflix has you covered.
The two big franchises heading to Netflix on Jan 1, 2024 are Jurassic Park and John Wick. Besides people being killed, these movies could not be more different. Jurassic Park 1-3 features people getting too close to dinosaurs and almost getting killed, while John Wick 1-3 has people trying to kill John Wick and sadly figuring out that he is way better at killing people than they are.

Harlan Coben's Fool Me Once is also headed to Netflix on Jan 1. Harlan Coben seems to be making all his books into series on Netflix and, as with this one, they seem to mostly star Richard Armitage. In Fool Me Once, you can also catch Michelle Keegan, Joanna Lumley, Adeel Akhtar, and Dino Fetscher.
The series follows a widow who is disturbed when she finds images of her dead husband on her child's nanny cam. Additionally, her niece and nephew are also dealing with their mother's murder that occurred a few months earlier. Could the husband's reappearance and the death of their mother be connected?

School of Rock is back on Netflix on Jan 1 as well! The Jack Black movie features him as a fake substitute teacher for a group of kids who he soon turns into a rock band. And he learns as much from them as they learn from him. The music in this movie is just as good as the performances.
The movie also features Mike White, Sarah Silverman, Joan Cusack, Adam Pascal, Lucas Papaelias, Miranda Cosgrove, Joey Gaydos Jr., Robert Tsai, and Maryam Hassan.
