Netflix is adding 15 new movies and shows this week (June 23, 2024)

June is almost over! How did that happen? Although, it feels like summer has already been here for quite some time with the sweltering temperatures. And considering the high temps don't seem to be going away anytime soon, what better way to spend the day than in the AC watching some Netflix? Luckily, the streaming service has a few new movies and shows coming this week.

First up is A Family Affair! The movie stars Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, Joey King, and Kathy Bates and follows a mother and daughter who have a bit of a falling out when the mother falls for the daughter's boss (who the daughter hates). Awkward doesn't even begin to describe it. But despite the daughter's fierce protests, it might turn out to be the best thing for her mom. The movie hits Netflix on Friday, June 28, 2024.

That '90s Show and Supacell coming to Netflix this week

This week also brings the return of That '90s Show. It comes to Netflix on Thursday, June 27. The season starts off with Leia and Jay reuniting, but Leia is still keeping a secret: she kissed Nate. Nate is also concerned because his girlfriend Nicki doesn't know either. It's a lot of mess! But the truth will come out, and when that happens, all their relationships will be at stake. It will be interesting to see how Kitty and Red are pulled into the drama.

Supacell is also headed to Netflix this week. You can check out the superhero show starting on Thursday, June 27. The series stars Michael Salami, Eddie Marsan, Adelayo Adedayo, Travis Jay, and Destiny Viva and follows a group of Black south Londoners who gain superpowers.

As they deal with how their superpowers affect their lives, one man brings them together to protect the ones he loves. And, of course, some powerful and dangerous people have noticed their powers and are set on exploiting them.
