Netflix is adding 18 new movies and shows this week (July 14, 2024)

This week, Netflix is bringing an eclectic mix of new movies and shows to its lineup. The new additions include a new docu-series about one of the most famous Olympians, a new season of a Netflix Original series, and a new rom-com.

First up is Simone Biles Rising! It hits Netflix on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and follows the gymnast as she returns to the floor after the 2020 Olympics, where she withdrew due to her mental health. We get to see her struggle in Toyko and her journey from there just in time to see her compete in the Paris Olympics in a few weeks.

Cobra Kai and Find Me Falling also on Netflix this week

Next up is Cobra Kai season 6 part 1! The new season comes to Netflix on Thursday, July 18. The last time we saw the crew, Cobra Kai was kicked out of the Valley. Now, the senseis and students will have to find a way to compete in the Sekai Taikai or decide if they want to compete at all. Can they become the world championships of karate? You'll have to watch and see. This is the first part of the final season of Cobra Kai.

Looking for a little romance? Find Me Falling is also headed to Netflix this week! You can start watching it on Friday, July 19. The movie stars Harry Connick Jr., Agni Scott, and Ali Fumiko Whitney and follows a washed-up rockstar who makes his way to the Mediterranean for a break. Unfortunately, he doesn't find much solitude in the inhabitants of the island. He also soon discovers that a past love is there as well.
