This week is one of Netflix's biggest of the year. Not only are they premiering a much-awaited anime live action series, but they are also streaming an award show. If there was ever a hit-or-miss week for them, this is definitely one of them.

Besides the live-action anime, you can also stream an Oscar-winning movie as well as an award show featuring a ton of stars.

First up on Netflix this week is Avatar: The Last Airbender. If Netflix doesn't land this show successfully, fans are likely to riot. The original show is well-loved, and Netflix messing it up might finally be the nail in the coffin for anyone trusting them with another anime title.

The story follows four nations: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Air. They once lived in harmony until everything changed. Now, in a war-torn world, a young boy, Aang, is the only person to master all four elements. Unfortunately, that means he must save the world and defeat an enemy who wants nothing more than to stop him and destroy everything. The series comes to Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024.

This week also brings the Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All At One starring Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huay Quan, James Hong, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Tallie Medel. The film follows a mother, Evelyn Wang, who is overworked, underpaid, and struggling to deal with her father and her daughter, Joy. But everything is about to change when a rift in the multiverse opens, and Evelyn is taken on an adventure she could have never expected.

If you haven't see the movie already, now is the perfect time! It hits Netflix on Friday, Feb. 23.

Ready for the next award show? While it's not as popular as the Oscars or the Golden Globes, the 30th Annual SAG Awards are all about the actors. This year, the show will be streamed on Netflix on Saturday, Feb. 24 starting at 8 p.m. ET. It will be hosted by Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani.

The awards will feature everything from Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.
