Netflix is adding 18 new movies and show this week (Oct. 6, 2024)

A new week is here, and that means plenty of new movies and shows are coming to Netflix! This week, the lineup includes a new season of a popular series, a romantic drama, and an animated series of a popular Angelina Jolie franchise.

This week brings the return of Outer Banks! You can check out part 1 of season 4 on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024. All the Pogues are returning, and they are doing what they do best: looking for treasure. Don't they have enough? Did they spend it all already? So many questions! How are they having financial difficulties already? They are supposed to open a shop this season but... where did the rest of the money go?? We'll have to watch and see. It will be interesting to see how John B and Sarah deal with this death of their fathers.

Next up is Lonely Planet! The romance stars Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth and follows a writer on a retreat to Morocco where she forms a connection with a younger man who is there with his girlfriend. Sparks fly, and they start an affair, but will it last? Either way, it will change both of their lives. The new movie hits Netflix on Friday, Oct. 11.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is also streaming on Netflix this week. The animated series based on the popular franchise comes to the streaming service on Thursday, Oct. 10. Featuring the voices of Hayley Atwell, Richard Armitage, and Allen Maldonado, the series follows Lara Croft as she discovers new mysteries while working through her complicated past.
