Netflix is adding 15 new movies and shows this week (March 17, 2024)

Netflix is adding a few new interesting and thought-provoking movies and shows this week, including a fantastical drama, a biopic, and a new season of a house-selling reality show. There is a little something for everyone.

First up is the much-anticipated 3 Body Problem. The series stars Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Benedict Wong, John Bradley, and Jovan Adepo. It follows a group of friends who make a series of shocking discoveries that change the world as they know it forever. It all starts with one decision made in 1960s China and that leads to what five scientists and a detective confront in the present. This is definitely not one to miss. The show hits Netflix on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

SHIRLEY is also headed to Netflix this week. You can check out the biopic starting on Friday, March 22. The movie follows the life of Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to Congress. It takes place during her 1972 Democratic presidential run and looks at her triumphs as well as the cost of being the first has on her. The movie stars Regina King, Lance Reddick, Terrence Howard, Lucas Hedges, André Holland, Christina Jackson, and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

This week also brings season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills on Friday, March 22. The reality series follows some of the top real estate agents at Mauricio Umansky’s (Kyle Richards' husband) The Agency. This includes his daughters Farrah, Alexia, and Sophia. We see the agents sell some of the most expensive houses in Beverly Hills while also dealing with the drama of the complicated relationships they share with one another.
