Missing Stranger Things? Here's where you can watch the cast in 2024

With the writers and actors strikes officially over, we're hearing a lot about shows starting/resuming production. In Strangers Things case, we've recently learned that the cast and crew have begun prepping for the fifth season in Atlanta, Georgia. Production is reportedly set to start in early January 2024, and filming is expected to last for a year. Unfortunately, this means we can pretty much count out a 2024 release. We're looking at a 2025 release at the very earliest.

So, what does this mean for us Stranger Things fans? Well, we need something to keep us occupied until the fifth and final season comes out. Fortunately, the amazingly talented cast has other projects coming out next year. We can fill our time watching their new stuff. That way, the wait won't feel so long.

But what upcoming projects from the Stranger Things cast should fans be on the lookout for? Of course, you can count on us to let you know!

Winona Ryder

Winona plays the role of Joyce Byers, the caring mother of Will and Jonathan Byers in Stranger Things. The only upcoming project that Winona has that will be coming out in 2024 is Beetlejuice 2. It's the long-awaited sequel to the iconic 1988 fantasy horror film Beetlejuice. Winona will be reprising her role as Lydia Deetz. Joining her in the movie are Michael Keaton, Catherine O'Hara, Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe.

David Harbour

David plays Jim Hopper, the former chief of the Hawkins Police Department who takes in Eleven and views her like an adoptive daughter. 2023 was a busy year for Harbour with two new movies of his coming out such as We Have a Ghost and Gran Turismo.

In late 2024, you can expect to hear his voice in the upcoming Max adult animated series Creature Commandos. He voices the character Eric Frankenstein. He also lent his voice to the upcoming survival horror game Alone in the Dark. He voices private investigator Edward Carnby while Killing Eve's Jodie Comer voices the role of Emily Hartwood. It's slated to be released on March 20, 2024.

Finn Wolfhard

Finn plays the role of Mike Wheeler in the sci-fi series. The only project of his that's confirmed to be coming out in 2024 is the supernatural comedy film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. It's scheduled to be released in theaters on March 29, 2024. He reprises his role as Trevor Spengler from Ghostbusters: Afterlife in the new movie. Since the film is being distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, we can expect it to eventually come to Netflix sometime after its theater release. We'll let you know the Netflix release date once it's made public knowledge.

Millie Bobby Brown

Millie Bobby Brown portrays fan-favorite character, Eleven, in Stranger Things. Her two upcoming projects in 2024 are the Netflix movies Damsel and The Electric State. She plays the protagonist in both films. In Damsel, she plays the role of Princess Elodie. And in The Electric State, she portrays Michelle. Unfortunately, the official release date for The Electric State has not been announced yet. However, you can expect Damsel to be released on March 8, 2024.

"A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive."

Here's what The Electric State is about via Netflix:

"Set in a retro-futuristic past, the sci-fi adaptation of Simon Stålenhag’s graphic novel follows Michelle (Brown), an orphaned teenager who traverses the American West in search of her younger brother. Joining her on the journey is a sweet but mysterious robot and an eccentric drifter. "

Noah Schnapp

Noah plays Will Byers in the sci-fi series. He doesn't have any upcoming movies or TV shows coming out in 2024. It looks like his main focus at the moment is Stranger Things season 5. However, you could always check out his most recent movie that came out in 2023 called The Tutor. It's currently streaming on Netflix.

Gaten Matarazzo

Gaten portrays the role of Dustin Henderson in Stranger Things. Like Noah, Gaten doesn't have any upcoming projects coming out in 2024. It's probably because he was too busy playing the role of Tobias Ragg in the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd throughout most of 2023. He didn't have time to take on any other roles.

However, you can always watch his most recent projects which include starring as himself in the 2023 comedy film Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain and as Kevin Kindness in one episode of the mystery-comedy series Foul Play.

Caleb McLaughlin

You might know Caleb as Lucas Sinclair in the popular sci-fi series. Some of his upcoming movies to come out in 2024 are The Book of Clarence and The Deliverance. The Book of Clarence has a scheduled release date of Jan. 12, 2024, while The Deliverance doesn't have an official release date yet but is confirmed to be coming out in 2024.

• Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) - She doesn't have any new movies or shows coming out in 2024. So you'll have to check out some of her previous work like the movies Chestnut, All Fun and Games, Things Heard & Seen, Velvet Buzzsaw and Yes, God, Yes. One of her most recent projects was starring as Chloe Lake in the comedy thriller series Based on a True Story.
• Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers) - You can see Charlie next in an upcoming drama film called Billy Knight. He plays the role of Alex Hubbs. It's expected to be released on Aug. 27, 2024.
• Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield) - We can see Sadie next in the upcoming drama movie Berlin Nobody. She plays the role of Mazzy. The film has an expected release date in Russia of March 28, 2024. Our guess is that the movie will hit theaters in the U.S. sometime next year as well.
• Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) - He's in the romantic heist film Marmalade which is slated to be released in theaters and on-demand on Feb. 9, 2024. Another new movie of his that's expected to come out in 2024 is the thriller film Cold Storage. You can also continue to watch Keery as Gator in Fargo season 5 on FX in 2024.
• Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley) - She voices the role of Anxiety in the upcoming animated film Inside Out 2, which is slated to be released in theaters on June 14, 2024.
• Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair) - No upcoming projects for 2024 so far
• Jamie Campbell Bower (Henry Creel/One/Vecna) - You can see him in the

two-part Western film Horizon: An American Saga. Part 1 will be released in theaters on

June 28, 2024, and part 2 will be released on Aug. 16, 2024. He'll also be in the upcoming supernatural horror film Witchboard, which is expected to come out sometime in 2024.

• Joseph Quinn (Eddie Munson) - He'll be in the movie A Quiet Place: Day One, which is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 28, 2024. He'll also be in the upcoming historical drama film Gladiator 2, which is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 22, 2024.
