As filming winds down on the upcoming Netflix original romantic drama series Ransom Canyon, series star Minka Kelly is already getting nostalgic about the production.

On June 18, the actress and New York Times best-selling author shared a carousel of photos from the New Mexico set of Ransom Canyon and included a heartwarming caption about her love for the show, cast, crew, and the entire six-month experience of filming. Best known for her work on TV in Friday Night Lights, Titans, and Euphoria, Kelly called the Netflix series "the best job I've ever had."

"Less than a week left of shooting to go. Wild we’ve been here doing this for 6 mos. I can easily say this is the best job I’ve ever had. I’ve made friends for life. Everyone here is the best of the best and I will miss them all when we wrap. We all gave it our very best to make something so beautiful and special for you. I can’t wait to be able to show you more. I love you, Ransom Canyon."

Kelly stars as Quinn O'Grady in the series, which also stars Josh Duhamel as Staten Kirkland, the owner of Double K ranch. Ransom Canyon is based on the book of the same name by Jodi Thomas. A little bit Yellowstone and a little bit Virgin River, the family drama series centers on three ranching families in Texas and how their personal and professional lives become intertwined.

Fellow cast members Eion Macken, Lizzy Greene, Jack Schumacher, Garrett Wareing, and Marianly Tejada all commented on Kelly's post with excitement and gratitude, which the actress gave right back with replies to each of their comments. She wrote to Macken, "You are one of my most favorite scene partners I’ve ever had my friend. Your work makes us all better."

The series began filming back in January 2024 and was planned to wrap production by the end of June, which clearly happened right on schedule. Even though filming winds down early this summer, the series will likely make its premiere sometime in the first quarter of 2025, though that's simply a prediction. With all of Kelly's glowing praise about the series and the close bond the cast forged, Ransom Canyon is hands-down one of the most highly anticipated new Netflix shows.
