Madison Bailey and Antonia Gentry team up for Time Cut on Netflix this Halloween

Two stars from two very popular Netflix teen shows will be starring together in a new slasher for the streamer. We're talking about Outer Banks star Madison Bailey and Ginny & Georgia's Antonia Gentry. The horror movie is called Time Cut, and it's coming to Netflix this fall. The exact release date is Oct. 30, 2024, just one day before Halloween.

We first learned of this film back in May 2021. It was announced that To All the Boys producer ACE Entertainment would be making a YA movie called Time Cut and that it would star Bailey and Gentry. Hannah Macpherson (Into the Dark, Trinkets) was announced as the director, and Michael Kennedy (It's a Wonderful Knife, Freaky) and Sono Patel (Generation, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) were revealed to be writing the script. However, Patel would later drop out of the movie, and Macpherson took over as co-writer. The film was also described as being Back to the Future (1985) meets Scream (1996).

Production on Time Cut started on July 6, 2021, in Canada before wrapping up sometime that August. Additional cast members were announced in February 2024. Those cast members are Michael Shanks, Griffin Gluck, Rachael Crawford, Jordan Pettle, Megan Best, Samuel Braun, Sydney Sabiston, and Kataem O’Connor.

We follow high school senior and science wiz Lucy Field, who, after finding a time machine, decides to use it to travel back in time to the early 2000s to prevent her older sister's murder and unmask her killer. Bailey stars in the leading role of Lucy Field, while Gentry portrays the role of Lucy's older sister, Summer.

You might recognize Bailey from her role as Kiara "Kie" Carrera in the teen drama series Outer Banks. She's also had roles on TV shows such as Black Lightning and Council of Dads. Gentry, on the other hand, is best known for starring as Virginia "Ginny" Miller in the comedy-drama series Ginny & Georgia. You might've also watched her in the Netflix rom-com Candy Jar or the Hulu coming-of-age comedy film Prom Dates.

Sadly, an official trailer for Time Cut has not yet been released. It'll most likely drop sometime in September. Don't worry, though. We'll be sure to share it with you as soon as it drops. But for now, this is all we know about Time Cut on Netflix.
