Love Is Blind season 6 just dropped its first six episodes, revealing the couples we'll be following this season and even taking us to Mexico as the group leaves the pods and starts looking toward their respective futures together.
Spoilers ahead for Love Is Blind season 6 (episodes 1-6)
At the end of Love Is Blind season 6, episode 6, "Feeling Uncomfy," we saw one couple, Chelsea and Jimmy, get into a heated argument after a night with the other couples turned sour. Chelsea wasn't a fan of how Jimmy talked about AD's body and later seemed to spend the entire night talking to everyone but her.
Jimmy felt that he was talking about Chelsea to everyone, hyping up their relationship and consistently telling her he loved her, but Chelsea still has doubts about Jimmy's feelings for her and that's clearly going to be a point of contention in their relationship moving forward.
Chelsea and Jimmy weren't the only couple to hit a snag during the party. Jeramey and Laura also got into a spat involving AD—poor girl, she just happened to get caught in the crossfire twice. Jeramey repeated a very weird joke told to him in private by Laura involving a "bean dip."
What the f**k is a bean dip, you might ask? Apparently, it means something related to, um, smacking someone's breasts, specifically to, "raise the underboob of a man or woman with your index and second finger." Thanks, Urban Dictionary.
From what I gathered, it sounded like an inside joke between the girls that got passed along to the wrong people (Jeramey) who then made the mistake of repeating it, publicly, to a woman who isn't his fiancée, and is, in fact, another man's significant other. Mess.
What to expect from episodes 7 through 9
As per usual, at the end of the first batch of episodes, Netflix tacked on a teaser for the next batch, which will include episodes 7 through 9. The preview teases a lot of drama to come, including what appears to be an ugly love triangle between Jeramey, Laura, and Sarah Ann, the other woman Jeramey was interested in back in the pods.
In the preview, Jeramey confesses he would like to meet Sarah Ann and we later see Laura asking him about the fact he stayed out until 5:00 a.m. talking to her one morning, yikes.
Here's a breakdown of some of the storylines we can expect to see from the couples based on the preview:
- Kenneth & Brittany: Brittany tells Ken he's been acting significantly colder toward her ever since they returned from Mexico. It looks like he's on his phone quite a bit suddenly and she notes that his entire demeanor has changed.
- AD & Clay: The voiceover has Clay talking about being unsure if he can stay monogamous, but later AD is seen telling someone she's never felt more secure than she has with Clay.
- Jimmy & Chelsea: They're shown laughing and having fun, so it looks like they patch up their fight. But then we see that they will each meet with the other person they connected with from the pods, Trevor for Chelsea and Jess for Jimmy, which could be a true test for their relationship. At one point, Chelsea accuses Jimmy of sleeping with another woman, is she talking about Jess?
- Johnny & Amy: They seem like one of the stronger couples from the bunch, but the preview hints that they have a lot to discuss when it comes to having children. That looks like the main obstacle in their relationship right now.
- Jeramey & Laura: As mentioned above, Sarah Ann is going to come between these two. It remains to be seen if their engagement can survive.
Having seen the majority of the season, I'll mention that the preview shown at the end of episode 6 is for the remainder of the season and not just episodes 7-9, so some of the clips shown will not take place in next week's batch.
I won't spoil what happens when, but just note a few of the teased scenes don't occur until episodes 10 and 11 (which will be released on Feb. 28).
Week 2 (Feb 21): Episodes 7-9 release time
Love Is Blind season 6 episodes 7, 8, and 9, will be released at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Feb. 21, only on Netflix. That's the same time Netflix generally always releases new episodes of its shows. After that, the next batch of episodes will come out on Feb. 28, followed by the season 6 finale on Mar. 6.
When do we find out who gets married?
We've got a few weeks left before we find out which of the five couples will actually make it to the altar. Here's the complete schedule of release:
- Week 1 (Feb 14): Episodes 1-6
- Week 2 (Feb 21): Episodes 7-9
- Week 3 (Feb 28): Episodes 10-11
- Week 4 (March 6): Episode 12 (finale)
The weddings won't occur until week 4, or Mar. 6, when the official season 6 finale drops. After that, we can anticipate a reunion at some point, but Netflix hasn't released any reunion information yet.
